5 pound schnauzer and has been limping a bit after exercise. I have started giving her 500 mg of glucosamine a day and wanted to know if this is the right dosage?
s fish oil with enhanced DHA and EPA (15 grams daily), megadose vitamin E, and megadose glucosamine+chondroitin+MSM daily for anti inflammatory effects for my joint and tendon problems. I am looking to treat trauma of the brachial tendon to treat pain during bicep workouts by using a glucosamine cream. I have heard anecdotally that the cream format increases bio-availability by a staggering amount and that the oral supplement is essentially a snake oil product.
Joint pain is pretty common for Hep C carriers. Is anyone using this supplement to reduce joint pain? Is it effective? Any counter indication?

It will be hard to determine the as needed part, because he always walks bad and is laying down more now, but I am glad he is at least on something. I also have him on CatMX, which is a joint supplement with glucosamine and chondroitin in it. I agree that prednisolone would probably do a better job on inflammation, but it was never offered.

My question is can I use this for my dog, are the supplement ratios okay?
I recommend that all dogs over the age of 3 who do not have joint problems take a good Glucosamine and Chondroitin combination supplement for joint health. If the pet is less than 3 and has congenital joint disease such as hip dysplasia, luxating patella, and others, to start as soon as they learn of the abnormality.
I was diagnosed with Basal Joint Arthritis in both thumbs on Nov. 5, 2009. The doc said the cartilage is not completely gone but there is not much left. I have swelling and when I move my thumbs a certain way, I feel ALOT of pain. The doc injected cortisone (which hurt tremendously). He said I was too young to have surgery (I am 52) so we will continue with the shots. After 4 days the shot is not working anymore. Is there some supplement or something I can take to rebuild the cartilage?

I know that there is a herbal medicine that has shown effective cure for reducing joint inflammations caused by arthritis. As, I know ginger is the best herbal medicine for arthritis, the use of ginger is unknown to me. If anyone having idea on it, then please suggest me.

s bothersome, heat may help and there are over the counter anti-inflammatory salves you could try (anti-inflammatories are not good for our bodies in the long term and some people cannot tolerate them well anyway). Another over the counter supplement you might try would be glucosamine and chondroitin containing capsules.

Is anyone taking a joint supplement with their pregnancy? My knees feel like I'm 90 years old and can barely walk or step up and down. Wanting to know if it's safe.
