Avatar n tn I've been dealing with gerd issues for the last half year. Colonoscopy and endoscopy were negative. I did do a series of rolling barium stomach xray which did show my stomach was on a roller coaster ride. I've been on most of the meds for gerd, from Zantac to Nexium to Lansoprazole to Pantoprazole. In December I started to develope numbness in my left foot and right hand. (Last night I noticed my left anke was swollen.
466024 tn?1208320081 As far as the Effexor side effects go, the first week or two it really mellows you out and yes, you do sleep a little more, at least it affected me that way. I am now on 75 milgrams and after a couple of weeks you settle into your old routine. Effexor has worked great for me, especially with the racing thoughts and anxiety.
Avatar m tn I've never taken it, but these are side effects you can get from almost any antidepressant. I'd probably listen to your endocrinologist. But you have to taper off this med slowly, not just quit, if you decide to do that. One of the problems a lot of people have is taking drugs for their side effects. Trazadone isn't a sleep remedy, but it had the unwanted side effect of making people very sedated.
Avatar n tn I have Diabetes the doctor has given me NEOGAB 100 mg at bed time .. what are the side effects ?
709686 tn?1277432159 I understand that we all can experience different side effects to certain meds but was hoping someone could tell me what, if any, side effects they experienced while taking Prilosec or Zegerid. Both meds are basically Omeprazole. I also noticed that, in my opinion, my doctor had me on WAY TOO MUCH. I was prescribed 40mg twice a day..EVERY DAY! I've seen that the most common script is written for 20mg a day for two weeks.
Avatar f tn seek immediate medical attention if you develop any serious symptoms or side effects. and that these side effects may only occur infrequently, BUT SOME MAY BE FATAL. would this statement not really get you thinking.I never had any serious deseases but thought that the hep c would kill me. how irronic. those serious side effects are all that occur in our bodies, for some of us. I never experienced any thing like this before on the treatment.
Avatar m tn Hi there. Avatar f tn thanks for you response. I didn't really feel anything but then again I'm not sure. I did fill it again and started yesterday. I guess I always thought I was taking too much meds. I have 2 dif meds for diabetes and I also take ambien at night to sleep. I have a hard time sleeping through. I just thought if I eliminated one med it would be that much less. I think I was wrong because I was in tears yesterday and at the store while I was in line picking up the celexa.
Avatar f tn There are many drug company sponsored web sites wanting one [and some doctors] to believe higher than normal A1c and/or glucose levels are OK when in fact it induces diabetes side effects. The higher your levels makes one require higher medication dosage and/or additional medication to help lower the levels. Bottom line results is the more meds one needs the more profit $$ for the drug companies, the higher your daily glucose levels the more pronounced diabetes side effects become.
Avatar n tn It was prescribed by my Doctor. Byetta has side effects reported by some people but I had no problems with it other than the expense. It does give you a feeling of fullness and it has a nickname (Spit). That is because it was made with saliva of the Gila monster. A lot of people who are not diabetics have been trying to get the prescription for it because it is also know to have a positive side effect (Helps people to quit smoking). Hope this helps you with your question.
Avatar n tn There are other drugs and each and every one has basically the same side effects BUT not all are always experienced by every person ... also many even though a factor, are not experienced to the same degree. You might take this up with your Oncology Team in detail. You should remember though that this may be totally unrelated to Arimidex or any other aromatase inhibitor. Regards ....
Avatar n tn Good question. Opuntia [commonly known as Nopal, prickly pear or paddle cactus] may well work to lower glucose levels in diabetic patients. But they haven’t been rigorously tested like our prescription medicine are and certainly aren’t standardized. Currently there are over 90 [ninety] different species of Opuntia. When buying Nopal in the market, it is impossible to know which species one is buying and therefore whether or not it is useful or harmful in treating diabetes.
7829857 tn?1401192659 I have been on Sovaldi, Olysio and Riboviron for 4 weeks. I am finding that I feel very poorly with a laundry list of noxious symptoms. I feel very alone since my docs said that the side effect profile would be very tolerable. Many years ago I was on interferon and riboviron but could not tolerate the tx. I don't know if it is the roboviron that is causing the side effects. At this point I am pretty much bed-ridden. Is there anyone out there with a similar experience?

Avatar n tn Various techniques have been tried by patients and recommended by physicians to prevent, lessen the severity or treat chemotherapy side effects such as peripheral neuropathy. There is no "one-size-fits-all" regimen that works for everyone. Much of the treatment is based on trial and error, and finding what combination of interventions works for the individual. * Report any unusual feeling you may have to your health care professional.
Avatar m tn Facial rashes, night sweats and the closing of my throat. That is when I stopped using Bactrim. All other side effects are gone except for the closing of my throat that comes on and off, especially when I'm done eating. It's been going on for 2 weeks (since my last bactrim dose). It doesn't make my breathing or eating any difficult but is just very annoying. It stopped for 2 days and happened one late night, 2-3 hours after drinking alcohol.
1888358 tn?1320969676 Hello, I'm new to this forum, but thought I'd ask a couple of questions. I was diagnosed about 10 years ago with Type 2 Diabetes (I'm 33), and I've never really been under good control. I have been prescribed Metformin, but it always makes me so sick (Low Blood Sugar feeling as well as diarrhea) so inevitably I stop taking it. My first question is, does anyone know how long it typically takes for these side effects to subside?
874521 tn?1424116797 The diabetes stuff ILADV. mentioned is definitely correct, but there was also another really troubling problem a few years back with Zyprexa. Eli Lilly, the pharmaceutical company that manufactures it, was discovered illegally marketing Zyprexa as a treatment for dementia in elderly patients. The risk of death was significantly increased in these populations, and the company knew the risks definitely did not outweigh the benefits, and the drug wasn't effective in these populations.
1616588 tn?1298639117 Please voice your concern to your physician, do not EVER sit in silence and hope the side effects will go away. This could be serious!!! Again, SEE YOUR PHYSICIAN,and do let me know.
