i have bipolar disorder and borderline personality disorder. i was just put back on geodon wednesday. i was on it once before, but only for about 3 days. i had to stop taking it bc my second son had jus been born and it made me so sleepy and it was so hard to wake me up. well when i went to the dr wednesday, she wanted to try it again. she said the first week being on it is bad, and if i can get through that first week things will prolly get better. does anyone know if that is true?

for bipolar but unfortunately not for borderline, but if you google DSM borderline personality disorder a few sites come up and give you definitions. One of the main differences between the two is moods for Borderline last hours/ maybe a day but for typical bipolar last days to weeks. Good luck.

I have been diagnosed with Borderline personality disorder. Well, one doctor says Borderline, another will say Bipolar, they dont know I guess. I just know that nobody will accept me as their patient. I have cutting issues & suicidal thoughts that are strong. I am not in treatment now...mainly because doctors either drop me, hospitalize me involuntarily, or refer me. Florida isn't great for mental health treatment (in my experience). Anyway, I have been told I have delusions.

hi everyone, i was just given a rx for this drug listed above for supposingly my borderline personality disorder but as i am researching it says its for bi polar disorder or seizures etc.. can someone who is licensed or qualified tell me what this drug is and what it helps for. I have wide mood swings up and down, not bi polar state but i get irritable quite intensely but never know when they will hit. and than can you also tell me if this drug causes weight gain and increased appetite.

s like to live with a person who is a bit unpredictable and I would know lol I have borderline personality disorder and bipolar know it must be hard on them because they choose to stay when you can't even live with yourself
