gas pain or labor

Yes, I don't think it's regular back pain because there is difference of pain. My back hurt so bad I almost wanted to throw up. I was really gassy and on top of that my baby was moving like crazy. So maybe it was Braxton hicks?

It feels kimda like bad gas pains but i havent burped or anything. Nor have i felt the urge to. What is it and what do i do??

Any advice from any ladies who have been through labour before as whether it is managable to go the whole time with no drugs or is it best to go for gas and air. debate that is on going with me and my husband, he thinks without drugs labour may occur faster as my body will be fully aware of what it needs to do, I get where he is coming from but I think I may need gas and air to get my body through!! Any thoughts????

I'm 38 weeks & 4 days pregnant with baby #2 and I have been having what feels like gas pains off and on all night and all day today. My stomach will tighten like contractions and it hurts. The only thing is I don't have to pass gas or go potty at all. So could these be labor contractions or just gas? I was induced with my first so I never felt what it was like to actually go into labor. Please help!!

Well this is my second pregnancy I went natural the 1st time so I was thinking I can do it again.

Having a lot of gas pain. Not constipated. Took gas x did not work, took other suff did not work. Had to take a pain killer. Just having liquids today, wait and see.....? Any suggestions. "afraid it could be recurrence, and on chemo anyhow..

Just went thru this last night went to the hospital because I was have contractions every 4-5 mins but sent me home bcuz im not dilated. You'd know if you were having contractions your whole tummy tightens up and it almost feels like period cramps while your stomach tightens up usually can last anywhere from 30 seconds to 60 seconds.

There are things they can give you but my experience they only worked at the beginning of labor and as the pain got worse they didn't either. I didn't think I wanted the epidural either but I was begging for it LOL and was so much better after, I could breath again.

Hiya i had an epidural with my first and all it did was make me very tired which ended up making the labor alot harder because i was exhausted. For my two boys i had gas and air, and pethadin (i think that is how it is spelled lol) but this time with my 3rd i am wanting to just use the gas and air as it is the only pain releif that does not pass through to the baby.

I was also wondering if there is a different pain med I can take while in labor that the doctors offer cuz I'm terrified of the epidural, I hate needles.

I am 32 weeks and just started having pains like this but it only happens at night when i first get into bed. It comes and goes a little, i know im not in labor or early labor bc i dont have any other issues or symptoms just those pains. It eventually stops after a few hours but while its happening its a doozy haha and i normally wind up falling asleep with my butt in the air also lol. A friend of mine whose had four kids said she had those pains in later pregnancy and it was bc of ligaments.

Which is better, as far as pain goes, for the labor part. Having an epidural or not getting the epidural, but getting the pain shot in your IV that makes you loopy?

So about every 10 min or so maybe longer my stomach hardens like a rock for about 15ish seconds and it's not a hurting pain it's more uncomfortable. I'm 39+2 weeks. Is it happening or.....

i felt a kick or something high up by my ribs and at the same time I felt a sharp pain in my vagina really close to the outside, I've also been getting these gas like feelings in my lower abdomen anyone get these sharp pains?

but i want to try a natural birth, hopefully i can take the pain and if not, ill have some of that gas or something, i really dont want the epidural

real labor contractions will have a definite pattern. they may start weak but will become more intense and closer together if it is genuine labor. once you are feeling low pressure and cramping pain every few minutes, it's time to go to the hospital. there shouldn't be any bleeding and your water may not break. good luck!

I didn't think it was labor....just curious.....

My first pregnancy was 6 hours of natural labor and my second was 2 hours of natural labor now I'm 20 weeks pregnant and scared this labor will be like 30 minutes lol both were intense but the second one was more painful.
