I went to my family doctor with the complaint of producing more sputum than normal for 3 years. I thought there might be something wrong with my lungs. However, I have no breathing problems. The doctor said that he was listening to my lungs with a stethoscope and that he was fine and said I don't need an X-ray. But he gave me the nasal spray medicine. When I said that there was no change after 1 week, he prescribed different drugs.

If someone can give me professional advice or recommend a specialist it would be appreciated!!! As i think my condition keeps getting worse. also i smoke but the doctor tell me it has no relation to my allergies!(i'm quitting) and when i stop smoking it gets a looot worse as i have much more mucus coming. (seen doctors in both india and US) . everytime i go new medication which has no effect!!!! If my symtoms show something the doctors have missed PLEASE let me know .
It could sometimes be due to the medication. As fluticasone propionate causes irritation of the nasal mucus membranes. Other adverse events that occurr with fluticasone propionate (with uncertain relationship to treatment) include: blood in nasal mucus, runny nose, flu-like symptoms, aches and pains, and dizziness.

A week after exposure, I saw a nurse. She was fairly unconcerned and gave me a prescription for fluticasone propionate cream. It seems to have helped. By September 10th the itching was almost gone, even when the cream had worn off. I have been putting it on my arms and legs, but not the non-itchy spots on my torso. So, the itching is pretty much gone except for a little bit on my legs. The redness comes and goes on my arms and legs. My torso has not visibly changed in well over a week.
I'm taking amoxicillin and my cheeks are very red, like i'm sunburnt, and very hot. It's only on my cheeks no where else on my face or body. I've been givien this same medicine many times and have never had this reaction, The only other thing I can think about is I was given a corticosteroid shot and nasal spray called Fluticasone. It's not shown as a side effect of the nasal spray, but could it be from one of these other medicines. Should I call my pharmacist or doctor?
Hi, welcome to the forum, these drugs like Albuterol and fluticasone do not interfere much with the cardiac activity. Albuterol predominantly acts on respiratory bronchioles but has a little action over heart. Hence, it should be cautiously used in him; these may cause elevation in blood pressure, heart rate and result in CNS stimulation/excitation. Albuterol may also increase risk of arrhythmias.
Such effects are quiet negligible when given by inhalational route.
My ENT has me using Fluticasone, but no other suggestions. I am hearing whistling in my ears when I talk. Feels like I need to pop my ears.
hi i wanted to ask a question well about a month a go i started to experience shortnes of breath when i excersise and i cant really breath all the way and i feel like i have alot of mucus on my chest because i spit and its reall sticky also idk but i cant reall breath trhough my nose i went to the clinic and they subscribed me with fluticasone propionate but it hasnt work any ideas
A year or so ago I finally went to an ENT, she said I had alergic rhinitis and prescribed fluticasone. 6 months later I went back because I still had constant congestion and usually a sore throat. I think the fluticasone made it a little bit better. Hard to tell. She gave me cetirizine (Zyrtec) in addition to the Fluticasone.
Together they help a little, but they also make me sleepy all the time, and I still have congestion all the time.

You are correct in wanting to wait until you have achieved optimum benefit from the Advair® HFA (fluticasone propionate and salmeterol) Inhalation Aerosol, before any consideration of oxygen use. The Advair® HFA (fluticasone propionate and salmeterol) Inhalation Aerosol may raise your saturation, to a degree that will make oxygen use unnecessary.
I noticed that there is a small patch on my left chin, where beard is scanty. It is not completely gone but the hair is scanty and the patch is obvious. I went to my dermatologist and he told me it is Alopecia Areata, though it could be in "initial stages" and it is "too hard to say anything". He told me to apply fluticasone cream twice a day, for a month. And if the hair doesn't grow back, he will give me steroid injections. Should I get those injections?
I am allergic to nine enviromental allergens and have been taking fluticasone propionate (flo-nase) for the past three monts and it's been working fine to treat sinus pressure, my only main symptom. However, since i started, i've noticed for the first time in as long as i remember that i've been getting thick nasal mucus either dark red or black, sometimes streaked and sometimes completely colored, while before it's always been thin and clear.

The risk of death you mention is a very, very small risk. I had a WLE performed which came back negative for malignancy. There were no other treatments or procedures to go through; and based on the primary characteristics of the tumor, my oncologist told me he was 95 - 98% sure I would not have any problems from this.
I recently heard about this allergy nasal spray called Veramyst and called my physician for a perscription. They told me they could not perscribe because of my melanoma diagnosis.
the rash-like thing disappears sometimes but reappears again without specific stimulation. i had been applying fluticasone cream(which i think is a steroid cream) now and then for the past two years. the rash eases down on application of the cream. but that is never permanent disappearence and it appears again. since, fluticasone is, as much as i know, a steroid, i would like to know whether it can be replaced with some permanent treatment.
