Avatar f tn (I am 29 and exercise routinely with HIIT and strength training.). I have never had hip pain before, but I have had aches like this that have improved with rest and gradual return to my exercise routine. I exercised fine for about two weeks with that dull, intermittent pain in my hip. But for about a month now, my hip pain has become very severe. I have been unable to exercise or do much stretching at all. I even bought a cane to help me hobble around!
Avatar m tn s getting to the point that I literally cannot miss a single training session. If I do the pain starts coming. It then only starts to go away after two or three training sessions. More info about the pain: It hurts when I look down, and it restricts my flexibility (it hurts to much to touch my toes). When it hurts I constantly move around because it relieves the pain (kind of like when you have to urinate) The pain feels almost like the growth pains that I use to get in my legs as a child.
Avatar n tn Hello, About 6 months ago I started to do some running and after the first month or so started getting pain above my knee, so I stopped. Since then the pain hasn't gone away and I'm getting desperate now as nothing seems to work. The pain is at its worst when going down stairs, steep hills, or when I put weight on it such as in a lunge or squat. It's had periods of getting better then when I think I'm going to be pain free it always gets worse.
Avatar n tn I would first advise that if doing push-ups hurts this much stop doing them, for now. A question would be, did you notice when this first occurred and what you were doing? You could have an injury that just needs some time to heal. It's hard to see why having wrists that aren't that flexible would lead to pain.
Avatar n tn I just got into weight training but I dint know how to eat right. Can someone please guide me and show me a plan for teens or something.HELP.
1387575 tn?1279684381 Its a little lengthy so bare with me. First off, I am a very active person. Before the injury I weight lifted on a regular basis, played lacrosse throughout high school (i just finished my freshman year in college), and I frequently took trips to the rock gym and various outdoor rocks for climbing. In January I started the Crossfit fitness program (www.crossfit.com). This program combined strength training, agility work, running, gymnastic, olympic lifting, balance, mobility, and flexibility.
Avatar m tn Hoping for input. I fell off a ladder about 4 weeks ago about 10 feet. From what my orthopaedic said, I have numerous breaks in my heel and talus bones, but nothing that surgery can do to help me. My swelling is almost as bad as it was from day 1, he keeps telling me this normal. He said I'll be on crutches for 3-4 months and luckily I have a boot and not a cast. Is all this normal?
Avatar m tn I am very active and cycle about 5 hours a week and about 5 hours a week of more weight bearing exercise. I have not been able to regain full flexibility to the knee, I am lacking 10 degrees of motion. I ice my knee most every day after exercising. I completed a series of 3 shots of Euflexxa about 6 weeks ago and have felt no difference from that. I started physical therapy twice a week for the last three weeks which lasts about 1.
Avatar n tn I went to Orthopedic Doc who diagnosed me with Os Trigonum Injury. Put cortisteroid shot in front of ankle where swelling was and put another shot into outer heel. I am in an air walker boot for now. The problem is pain is still there, not as bad as first. But now my other ankle is doing the exact same thing on other side. Pain around outer ankle and heel, also have this bone sticking out a little and hurts. Could this happen Bilateral this kind of injury?

700000 tn?1231287536 I had my left wrist fused from a H.S. football injury back in 1996. After the surgery in Feb of 1996, I didn't lose any strength in the arm but did lose ALOT of flexibility. I still was able to go on to play college Division 1A football as a defensive end for another 5 years. The only problem I have is that it is kind of a bummer in that without the flexibility in my wrist, some of my basketball and martial arts activities that I participate in currently are limited.
Avatar m tn Working with a chiropractor, I got a hip flexor malady adjusted; the PT said I needed to work on flexibility. My left leg kind of 'hangs/float' and doesn't extend out normally. I feel it even when I'm walking. The odd part is that I can't really self-correct it with mental striving. I'm thinking it's more than just bad flexibility - wondering if I'm not really neurologically talking to my lower leg?
20893158 tn?1579358911 s wise to alternate activities at least some, and getting some resistance training in as well and flexibility training can at least potentially reduce the costs of running. Peace.
Avatar m tn I would see your primary care doctor and insist on a complete bloodwork work up and xrays to be sure that is what you are dealing with. I found this information that you may find helpful: The cartilage under your kneecap (patella) is a natural shock absorber. But it doesn't come with a lifetime guarantee. Overuse, injury or other factors may lead to a condition known as chondromalacia patella — a general term indicating damage to the cartilage under your kneecap.
Avatar m tn Hi guys, Im a 29 year old male. Ive been training with weights for the last three years. A few months ago I noticed a slight pain in my right right shoulder, around the point where it connects with my chest muscle, when i was doing chest excercises (bench press, dumbell presses). I would only feel this slight pain when i was training my chest. Recently, however, my shoulder has become significantly weaker than it has been previously. Avatar n tn He had an enzyme therepy, which was helping her regain movement and flexibility, but then, that 2nd one hit after another week. She was dignified to the end, though. . .but, you do need to get kitten to a vet. There is likely a head injury from what you describe. If you can not afford a regular vet, see if your local humane society has a clinic, they usually can work out better payments.
Avatar n tn Back in February, while doing hill training for a half marathon, my left hip started burning (groin area). I iced and stretched and kept training. About a month later it got so bad, even walking hurt. I stopped running in April and saw an Orthopedic doctor, who did an MRI (nothing found), sent me to PT for 6 weeks. In the meantime, he told me it was ok for me to cycle.

Avatar f tn Hello! I'm a cosmetic tattoo apprentice. 6 weeks ago I sustained a small needle stick injury to my index finger during a supervised training of a client's eyebrow tattoo. I stopped the service and went to the sink to remove gloves. Upon squeezing hard there was a tiny speck of blood that came out, I washed it with soap and went to urgent care shortly thereafter as my mentor agreed to finish up the last part of the service.
Avatar f tn however, it is also possible to strain or tear the muscle from abdominal muscle strain prevention | symptoms and treatment | upper, lowerover training your body. The best way to prevent injury is to consult your doctor or trainer and set up a program that helps to strengthen your core. Some common exercises for this can be done on the physio-ball and many are free weight exercises such as the plank maneuver.
1157811 tn?1263831494 I have a lower back injury that is a few years old. Doing normal activites that require even slight bending, such as doing dishes causes pain. I was wondering if there are any back strengthening exercises that I can do to build up some strength to where doing daily chores can become less painful. Thanks!
Avatar f tn Use the workouts that make use of flexibility and stretching, strength training and aerobics for the best results. Fitting in regular sessions of weightlifting, calisthenics or other strength activities can help increase muscle mass and keep the body toned and strong. Aerobics will help with burning calories, endurance and weight management, and stretching helps prevent injuries and prepare the body for more intense movements.
Avatar m tn Hi, as you suffered hemiplegia, the treatment after hospitalization is mainly physiotherapy based exercises to train the adjacent neurons to the injury site. The neurons which died during injury will not work again. The only thing is to teach the surrounding nerve cells to takeover the function of lost neurons. This can only be achieved by reverse training that is starting from the muscle end.
