6579347 tn?1388502368 Not sure what the flax seed oil or green tea will do for you. Gabapentin is for pain that has no resolution, since it doesn't do anything about the cause. Didn't your orthopedist send you to physical therapy, since I'm assuming it's not serious enough for cortisone or surgery? Most lower back injuries resolve on their own.

Avatar f tn Also brewers yeast helps and flax seed. Just Google foods that increase milk supply and you will find lots of things. But the cookies are a huge help. I missed my daughter till she was 17 1/2 months which I was 5 months pregnant when she quit nursing.
163322 tn?1458676408 Actually, I don't use flax seed oil. I use flax seed meal, mixing it into granola, oatmeal, smoothies, etc. Its great for making corn bread. But I'm not on triple therapy either. And I love coconut anything!

Avatar n tn Hello -- I have been trying to find out whether consuming flax seed would interfere with the efficacy of the taxol / herceptin treatments that I am receiving for my breast cancer. I understand from a study done at the University of Toronto that flax seed may help to eliminate breast cancer. However, I would not want to consume anything that would interfere with my regular medical treatment. The cancer is in the left side of my lymph system. It is estrogen-receptor and HER-2 positive.

Avatar n tn i just started treatment with telaprevir, and have used flax seed oil for the fat on one dose and will use it again. the problem with flax seed oil is it goes rancid really fast. so if you are going to use it make sure you buy from a very reliable source that refrigerates the oil and check the date. yesterday i bought an 8 ounce bottle of barlean's flax oil that was pressed on 9/15/10 with an expiration of 3/15/11. so make sure it is supper fresh. rancid oil will cause liver damage.
Avatar n tn It sounds like flax seed (I figured an ointment/liquid form for the eyes, one must read carefully) may be a good ongoing treatment as a simple food additive, if the dog will eat it. Is flax seed a seed? Where does one purchase it - I can check Amazon to see what they offer, but it may be a grocery store item for human consumption. I try to ruse Opt morning and night, and wonder if using it once a day and say "artivicial tears" (for humans) once a day.
612551 tn?1450022175 Flax seed is generally considered a good diet supplement for omega 3 and other good stuff - for humans. Is it good to add to dog food, either canned or home cooked? I suppose if you dog eats Kibble with water some could be mixed in there too.

Avatar f tn I had been reading online that it is possible to help facilitate regrowth by taking prenatal vitamins and bromelain tablets and green tea extracts as well as low dose aspirin and eating estrogen enriched foods as well, so I started taking the prenatal vitamins, the bromelain and green tea extracts and eating flax seed pumpkin seed and other estrogen rich foods. Now after just two weeks I am having spotting and am experiencing cramping.
Avatar f tn I used flax seed meal for helping me keep my weight up, putting it into smoothies, oatmeal, etc. It makes wonderful cornbread. Check out this post: http://www.medhelp.

Avatar n tn But you can look up milk producing foods. I know there are lactation cookies that have oatmeal and flax seed and other stuff that helps produce milk. You might look into those and see if it helps put.
Avatar f tn Yes look for lactation cookies on Google. There is a few ingredients in them that help with increasing milk production like oatmeal flax seed brewers yeast .. I'm sure there are different recipes tho so find one that looks yummy too you. You can always add stiff like peanut butter to make them have more flavor. Some say drink a beer before nursing because of the brewers yeast in it produces milk.. Drink tons of water and also milk helps with milk production.
Avatar f tn I use a stabalized ground flax seed product to provide about 2/3 of my daily Omega-3 and a high quality fish oil capsule for the final third. The flax adds a pleasant nutty flavor to the small portion of yogurt I mix it with. I use products with (if I remember right) a 6:1 ratio of Omega-3:Omega-6. I get plenty of O-sixes from my diet (they are easy for most of us) but don't eat nearly enough foods rich in O-threes to keep a good ratio going.
Avatar n tn My husband has severe dry eyes, and has started taking omega 3 and flax seed oil. It is working very well, but his dose (after gradual increase to a point of benefit) is more than recommended. Can he overdose on 3 times the normal dose of purified omega 3 fish oil..the brand he takes is Health from the Sea PFO pure fish oil liquid. He takes twice the dose of the flax seed oil (same brand name).
475555 tn?1469304339 //www.****.com/products/?type=north_america (a Canadian company that produces and sells high-rade flax seed products) By the way, I found a small nutrient lab in Buenos Aires today that produces and markets oil from a Peruvian plant called "chia". It's supposed to be the world's best source of omega-3 fatty acids, especially ALA, better than fish oil and better than flax seed oil. Could be true...
Avatar f tn Yeah I only ever leak a little out of one breast but have never had any supply problems when feeding my 2 kids.
Avatar f tn Multivitamin with a strong mineral component is absolutely necessary. Try primrose oil or flax seed oil as well. They are necessary for repair and proper function of cellular membranes and have anti-inflammatory properties. These need to be mixed omega 3, omega 6, omega 9 oils—4000 to 6000 mg per day in split doses. They can be purchased as liquids and mixed with your smoothies.
Avatar n tn s to increase the good cholesterol to control the bad, that is, increase your intake of HDL fats such as flax seed oil, hemp seed oil, and fish oil. You can pretty much eliminate triglycerides by not eating hydrogenated vegetable oil, which means avoiding processed foods in the supermarket and eating in fast food joints. The third is to decrease your intake of LDL, which means cutting down on the bad fats. Since this is a large category of foods and cooking methods, you need to research LDL.
