neupogen

493068 tn?1224765315 my stats seem to go up and down so I only have to take it now every 2 wks. It is unknown whether filgrastim (Neupogen) increases or decreasses an individual's risk of developing cancer. Based on limited long-term data from healthy people ( if a person is healthy why would they need neupogen in the first place ) who have received filgrastim, no long-term risks have been found so far. good luck to you....hope this helped!
Avatar m tn Do you mean filgrastim? And are you saying Dengue fever? It would be a surprising though perhaps not impossible use of filgrastim. Dengue is usually treated by pain managers and sometimes hospitalization and a blood transfusion. Anyway, if you have a legitimate prescription from a doctor, you should be able to fill it in the United States.
Avatar f tn For this reason, patients are prescribed antibiotics and even receive injections to increase white blood counts (such as filgrastim or lenograstim). If this 0.4 value really pertains to your white counts, then I believe this is really low and what you are experiencing is a condition called 'febrile neutropenia'. I would suggest you ask your doctor about filgrastim or lenograstim injections aside from the Levaquin. Regards.
874521 tn?1424116797 m debating between a G11 that seems to have everything, including an articulating LCD screen or the sleek, ultra lightweight S90. Both are high end point & shoots that incorporate two of my favorite features... close up and wide angle.

Avatar m tn A related discussion, <a href="/posts/Eye-Care/If-you-can-buy-a-LCD-TV-or-Monitor--it-would-be-better-for-your-eyes-/show/1776865">If you can buy a LCD TV or Monitor, it would be better for your eyes. </a> was started.
Avatar n tn Filgrastim is also prescribed as pegfilgrastim (called Neulasta). My doctor used the 500 neutrophill count as a cut-off, so every time I got down around 500 I used Neulasta. The interferon drops neutrophils and platelets. Some people can do okay with low neutrophils but just as many end up with kidney and sinus infections, etc., that make you even more miserable.
Avatar m tn moreover, can i protect my eyes by any means. I have heard that LCD monitors harm less to the eyes as compared to CRT monitors. is that true? Can you suggest any specific food that can improve the vision of somehow protect it.
Avatar n tn I am noticing a thin transparent shade/stripe before my computer (LCD monitor). This is observed only before my PC, and otherwise it is not seen. I am thinking it is due to LCD monitor issues. Should I concern about this?
Avatar m tn I did have an accident on Tuesday where my right eye got inches away from the full blast of an LCD projector beam. It started getting spotty and by Friday afternoon both eyes were cloudy. At 3am on Saturday I woke up to have my vision completely blurry after about 4 inches. I've been to two opthalmologists who have found nothing wrong. Tomorrow I'm having an MRI and another exam. Everyone says they've never heard anything like this. I just want my vision back.
Avatar m tn I'm not able to stand looking to a LCD or Plasma TV for more than a few seconds without having migraines. If I stand for a few minutes then I have migraines, begin to feel weaker, to have some heart pain, difficulty to sleep, and sometimes my fingers begin to shudder randomly. Moreover, I begin to have difficulties in rationalize correctly, or even to do simple math or logic operations. I have headaches with CRT monitors operating at frequencies below 100 Hz.
Avatar m tn Doctors unable to give any explanation for such wide variations on a dose to dose basis. Till date, I have also taken 5 doses of Filgrastim - the WBC Stimulator. Can you pleae advice possible reasons for such wide fluctuations.
Avatar f tn Both problems cause eye strain which leads to stress which can lead to other problems. Sell it and buy a LCD screen and keep using the drops until your condition improves. Also, make it a priority to get 8-9 hours of sleep each night (even the weekends!). Note: An LCD screen's refresh rate does not cause eye strain because the pixels stay illuminated until the next frame is loaded. It doesn't rock because the pixels are hardwired into the screen.
Avatar m tn I have good eye sight in both eyes, and do now strain them. I have a large computer LCD/TFT made by SHARP, it was not a cheap monitor. I work on a PC around 6-7 hours per day with breaks every 2-3 hours. Can you give me some advice please.
Avatar n tn Dear Doctors & Friends, My father is 79 years old and has had multiple heart attacks beginning approximately 15 years ago when he was airlifted to the Arizona Heart Institute in Phoenix, AZ. Within the last 10-12 years, he has had 3 angioplasty(?) procedures, i.e "balloons" to remover blockages. Has been on multiple meds including Toprol (?) & daily doses of nitro. He moved to the south to live near my older sister & me appx. 3 years ago.
Avatar m tn Neulasta® (pegfilgrastim) or NEUPOGEN® (Filgrastim) may reduce your chance of getting an infection, but it does not prevent all infections. An infection can happen anytime your neutrophil counts are low. Look for signs of infection, such as fever, chills, rash, sore throat, diarrhea, or redness, swelling, or pain around a cut or sore. If you have any of these signs, contact your health care professional immediately. http://www.neulasta.com/starting-chemo-with-neulasta/about-neulasta-neupogen.
1986676 tn?1329862471 Musculoskeletal symptoms have been the most frequently reported adverse effects of filgrastim therapy. Bone pain has been reported in approximately 22% of patients. Reactivation of pseudogout occurred in a patient receiving chemotherapy. Postmarketing reports have included decreased bone density and osteoporosis in pediatric severe chronic neutropenia (SCN) patients receiving chronic treatment with filgrastim.
Avatar f tn re trying to get them to grow, I strongly suggest LCD nail polish sold at Sally Beauty Supply. Only $7 a bottle (can be used as clear base or top coat) It's AMAZING if you apply it regularly, and when there's enough nail to do it, under your nails as well. Good Luck!
Avatar f tn Is this because ive been straining my eyes by looking only at the big lcd screen tv?? How do i avoid this next time im playing xbox or watching television for a long period of time?
Avatar n tn Hi, With modern medical advances, especially effective anti-emetics, and growth factors (filgrastim), chemotherapy has become safer and more tolerable over the last decade or so. Hair loss will be your major side effect, and some intermittent illnesses may also be expected during the course of chemotherapy. But your overall long-term benefit will be much more than these temporary effects. All the Best!
Avatar m tn I am currently studying for my graduate entry medicine exam this Sep, so I have been spending 6+ hours a day intront of a computer screen. Intense light such as the sun, Lcd screens and computer screens. I feel like I need to continue working on a screen however it does onset milder migraines. Would it help if I wore sunglasses whilst working on a computer or watching tv?
