Avatar n tn Whereas headache and vomiting with fexofenadine. Both are quiet safe and any one can be used for which consult your local health care provider. Take care and regards.
Avatar m tn You only need to take one Fexofenadine for the whole day, which is useful. Clarityn is another non-sedating antihistamine that you only need to take once a day.
Avatar m tn i just want to ask if there some side effects of the medicine that i am taking, fexofenadine?? another thing is for 1 week now my hives just gone, is there a possibility it will appear again?
Avatar n tn I have been breakin out in hives for over a year now. It started on the nape of my neck as tiny white bumps, it has now turned into red hives that itch and now has spread to my trunk and upper legs and arms. A biopsy was done of one of the hives and it came back unidentified. i have been taking fexofenadine and use triamcinolonne acetonide cream but nothing seems to help. I cant sleep or sit still. I scratch until i bleed and then the hives turn into little scabs all over my body.
Avatar f tn I have them on the same part of the body. Meaning I have some on the inside of my left and right calves for example. Same on the outside of my left and right thighs. After a hot bath they weep. I have been given antihistamine (fexofenadine) to no avail and creams are a temporary relief. I had a blood test to check the thyroid and the liver and the results did not show anything bad. I don't eat wheat or gluten.
Avatar m tn At January 2011, my IgE was 1923 IU/ml. I took medicines named Fexofenadine Hydrochloride 180 mg (0+0+1), Montelukast 10 mg (1+0+0) and Flixonase Nasal Spray according to doctors' advice. But I stopped continuing medicine after 2 month when I felt well. After that, I used to catch cold all the year round. At december 2011, I became ill seriouly and went to the same doctor. According to test of December 2011, my IgE is 1590 IU/ml. My doctor says, I have been suffering from Rhino-Sinusitis.
Avatar n tn 120mg) to have for one month. My course ends round about 25 september 2011. My nose blockage is getting better (one nasal passage is open most of the time) but I have also developed slight phelgm in my throat (i.e throat mucus). Should I be concerned and what should I do ???
Avatar m tn Let me explain, so I've had every STD/HIV test and even seen a dermatologist who said it's just an allergic reaction, but this has persisted for about 3 months now. So when I rub my skin, either light or rough it gets red and bumps appear but go away within minutes. My dermatologist prescribed fexofenadine (Allegra) and that helps. My derm said that it was Ecsastencia (?
Avatar m tn Thank you so much for responding. Yes I do take suppressive therapy, but at times I do forget to take the pills which I know is a problem. I have some hormonal issues when I have my monthly period as well, which I know contributes to the EM. I went to the doctor today and had a well woman check up and they suggested I also go to a dermatologist. They gave me a script for Valtrex, not the generic form, to see if that may make a difference. I certainly hope so.
Avatar m tn what are the best antihistamines (dust allergy) for somone with an enlarged prostate?
Avatar n tn Sedating antihistamines such as Chlorphenamine or Hydroxyzine are used at night to get urticaria control. Short courses of oral cortisone or steroids are taken for short periods (one to three days) to settle more severe symptoms. You may take Vitamin C along with the prescribed treatment. Vitamin C is a general anti-allergy supplement. It helps stabilize mast cells so they are less likely to release histamine. Hope it helps.
Avatar n tn It is a slightly swollen area of my arm, about 2 inches across, and had been painful whenever I used my hand and fingers. Today the pain has mostly gone away, but has been replaced by a grinding feeling whenever I move my fingers. It kind of feels like a piece of rubber being dragged across a dry surface. If I put my ear up to my wrist, I can actually hear a rubbing sound. Is this normal? Is there something I can do to help the healing process? Should I be more concerned about this?
Avatar f tn You can apply an anti-itch cream or lotion to the affected area. Oral antihistamine, such as Benadryl can also be used. You should take a comfortably cool bath and wear smooth-textured cotton clothing. Covering the affected area with bandages and dressings can help protect the skin and prevent scratching. You should choose mild soaps without dyes or perfumes and use a mild, unscented laundry detergent when washing clothes, towels and bedding.
Avatar m tn Other treatment options include oral antihistaminics like benadryl and Claritin or non sedating antihistaminics like zyrtec; Topical or oral decongestants for rhinitis and nasal congestion; topical steroids for skin rashes and itching; oral steroids in more severe cases and bronchodilators in cases of difficulty in breathing and wheezing. These medications all help to relieve short term symptoms of allergic reactions. However, there is a way of preventing the long term symptoms of allergies.
Avatar m tn Hello, I'm a 23 year old male. Since mid July 2010 I've been having some shortness of breath and dry cough with very little mucus coming out. When the mucus comes out it's clear and in small amount. Initially this problem started after I was out with a few friends smoked hookah. The hookah pipe was dirty and I remember spitting black stuff out from the pipe and then I stopped smoking. I don't smoke normally at all and even hookah once every 3 or 4 months.
Avatar f tn Since 6 months m suffering from cold skin allergy and allergic cough with asthma. Im using fexofenadine for cough and levocetrizine for allergy. If i will come to contact with cold immediately i develope hives. And m jus avoiding cold and using those antihistamine and fexa so, what can i do for complete recovery? And my ESR rate is also high its 25 what can i do for that? Need some suggestion for good prognosis.
Avatar f tn Decongestants may also be helpful in reducing symptoms such as nasal congestion, but they should not be used for long periods. Cromolyn sodium is a nasal spray (Nasalcrom) for treating hay fever. Eye drop versions of cromolyn sodium and antihistamines are available for itchy, bloodshot eyes. If the symptoms are intense then you can go in for immunotherapy.Pls consult an allergist then. Hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Avatar n tn Hi I have had severe Hives for 2 mos. This is the worse outbreak I've ever had, and my last case of Hives was 9 yrs ago. I was in the ER 2x this past month, put on IV steroids, antihistamines & Ranitidine. I had extensive blood work done for a multitude of alleries- all negative, Lupus, Lympoma, Lymes disease, CAT scan, all negative. I've done 2 rounds of Presnisone (which helped greatly), but 2 days after the last Prednisone pill- boom the hives came back bad.
