I am not an expert but my understanding is that one is not stronger than the other. However, Piriton is more likely to make you feel drowsy. Fexofenadine does not do this. You only need to take one Fexofenadine for the whole day, which is useful. Clarityn is another non-sedating antihistamine that you only need to take once a day.
The GP says that stress has caused these hives and so I have been prescribed some antihistamines (fexofenadine) which did not work that well.

I would encourage you refrain from the things which induces allergic reaction in you. Try Antihistaminics (such as Fexofenadine), nasal steroids and drink plenty of warm water. The sore throat (pharyngitis) rather than tonsillitis is probably because of the allergy itself. Please note there is no cure for allergy, prevention is the best treatment. You must be working in the Air conditioned room I suppose, if so, that is another common cause for your allergic problems.
Hi I have had severe Hives for 2 mos. This is the worse outbreak I've ever had, and my last case of Hives was 9 yrs ago. I was in the ER 2x this past month, put on IV steroids, antihistamines & Ranitidine. I had extensive blood work done for a multitude of alleries- all negative, Lupus, Lympoma, Lymes disease, CAT scan, all negative. I've done 2 rounds of Presnisone (which helped greatly), but 2 days after the last Prednisone pill- boom the hives came back bad.
All 3 herpes antivirals work about the same way. Also it doesn't matter if it's generic or not. Not worth paying more money for the name brand at all.

Double conventional doses of these non-sedating antihistamines such as Cetirizine, Loratadine, Acrivastine and Fexofenadine may be needed to get symptom relief. Sedating antihistamines such as Chlorphenamine or Hydroxyzine are used at night to get urticaria control. Short courses of oral cortisone or steroids are taken for short periods (one to three days) to settle more severe symptoms.
You may take Vitamin C along with the prescribed treatment. Vitamin C is a general anti-allergy supplement.
I've been applying Maybelline Baby Lips lip balm for two months and recently the edges of my upper lip started drying out and in 2 days my entire lip was swollen, red and burning and feeling stretchy, but its not chapped but feels extremely dry. 1. Increased vascularity is noted in the left parahilarand right paracardiac area.

Itchiness began next day , so i went to dermatologist she treat me ( 1 ) triamcenolone 80 mg IM stat ( 2 ) prednisolone 10 mg b.d (3) fexofenadine 120 hs ( 4 ) loratadine 10mg b d ( 5 ) ranitidine 150 mg b d ( 6 ) topical betamethasone cream bd ( 7 ) AMOXICILLIN AND FLUCLOXACILLIN 500 mg tds
BUT my condition of insect bite is not improve .

i have been taking fexofenadine and use triamcinolonne acetonide cream but nothing seems to help. I cant sleep or sit still. I scratch until i bleed and then the hives turn into little scabs all over my body.
At January 2011, my IgE was 1923 IU/ml. I took medicines named Fexofenadine Hydrochloride 180 mg (0+0+1), Montelukast 10 mg (1+0+0) and Flixonase Nasal Spray according to doctors' advice. But I stopped continuing medicine after 2 month when I felt well. After that, I used to catch cold all the year round. At december 2011, I became ill seriouly and went to the same doctor. According to test of December 2011, my IgE is 1590 IU/ml.
My doctor says, I have been suffering from Rhino-Sinusitis.
