i went to the hospital and the doctor said that i have urticaria, she prescribed me a medicine called fexofenadine. the med is very helpful everytime the rashes appears, i just take the medicine and the rashes will gone but i have to take it everyday, i dont know if this medicine have side effects.
I had an heart attack nearly two months ago and I have been drinking one glass of orange juice everyday just after having the medicine(includes beta blocker called bisoplolel). I just heard from a friend that its not good to have orange juice with or imeeditely after taking the medicine. Is this true? can orange juice make the medicine less effective?
I already see the spealist dermatologist and already test blood test and shown like nothing wrong in result.And when i take the medicine , the rash are disappear and after i stop , the rash are come again. I feel so stress for this itchy rash and also not happy fully at all time.Please help me what am i wrong to get this rash and itchy.
I developed yeast infection almost 1 month ago immediately after a course of antibiotics. I am diabetics over last 10plus years relatively under control with medicine. This tome the infection was while patch all over the penis head and foreskin giving heavy itching which peels off and new patches develops after 5-7days thus recurring.
Initially as per GP applied Miconazole + Hydeocortisone togerwith Trbrinafine 250mg and Fluconazole 250mg for 5 days, but no relief.

i have been taking fexofenadine and use triamcinolonne acetonide cream but nothing seems to help. I cant sleep or sit still. I scratch until i bleed and then the hives turn into little scabs all over my body.

At January 2011, my IgE was 1923 IU/ml. I took medicines named Fexofenadine Hydrochloride 180 mg (0+0+1), Montelukast 10 mg (1+0+0) and Flixonase Nasal Spray according to doctors' advice. But I stopped continuing medicine after 2 month when I felt well. After that, I used to catch cold all the year round. At december 2011, I became ill seriouly and went to the same doctor. According to test of December 2011, my IgE is 1590 IU/ml.
My doctor says, I have been suffering from Rhino-Sinusitis.
Doing so, helped the swelling to go away totally overnight. In Medicine, the Urologist only prescribed Fexofenadine HCL + Renitidine and said I have No infection, so no need for an antibiotic.
Next day, I got my Abdominal and Scrotal Ultrasound and the reports came 100% clear. 2 Days later, the Urologist set me CLEAR and asked me to stop elevating and the medicine too. But only after 5 hours of keeping the Penis and Scrotum in Normal position, the Swelling appeared again, just like on Day-1.
Double conventional doses of these non-sedating antihistamines such as Cetirizine, Loratadine, Acrivastine and Fexofenadine may be needed to get symptom relief. Sedating antihistamines such as Chlorphenamine or Hydroxyzine are used at night to get urticaria control. Short courses of oral cortisone or steroids are taken for short periods (one to three days) to settle more severe symptoms.
You may take Vitamin C along with the prescribed treatment. Vitamin C is a general anti-allergy supplement.
Thank you so much for responding. Yes I do take suppressive therapy, but at times I do forget to take the pills which I know is a problem. I have some hormonal issues when I have my monthly period as well, which I know contributes to the EM. I went to the doctor today and had a well woman check up and they suggested I also go to a dermatologist. They gave me a script for Valtrex, not the generic form, to see if that may make a difference. I certainly hope so.

Here in Australia it is spring time and the pollen count is through the roof. I am on medication Monteluckast-10mg once daily, Fexofenadine-180mg once daily, Budamate rotacaps-400mg twice daily and Nasal Spray- Azelastine and FLuticasone. I have chest pain in the right side of my chest, it is like piercing something from inside and tightness in the upper part of the chest.

In Chest X-Ray the report is:
1. Increased vascularity is noted in the left parahilarand right paracardiac area.
2.No evidence of filtration.

The GP says that stress has caused these hives and so I have been prescribed some antihistamines (fexofenadine) which did not work that well.
