Avatar m tn Thank you so much for responding. Yes I do take suppressive therapy, but at times I do forget to take the pills which I know is a problem. I have some hormonal issues when I have my monthly period as well, which I know contributes to the EM. I went to the doctor today and had a well woman check up and they suggested I also go to a dermatologist. They gave me a script for Valtrex, not the generic form, to see if that may make a difference. I certainly hope so.
Avatar n tn 120mg) to have for one month. My course ends round about 25 september 2011. My nose blockage is getting better (one nasal passage is open most of the time) but I have also developed slight phelgm in my throat (i.e throat mucus). Should I be concerned and what should I do ???
Avatar n tn Putting the mattresses out in sun, vacuum cleaning, finding out if there are cats or dogs in immediate neighborhood etc should be carried out. You could also be allergic to any cosmetic you apply on face or eye or even for your hair like shampoos or dyes too can cause allergies. Fungus too can cause mold allergy especially if the walls have seepage problems. Hope this helps. Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined.
Avatar n tn The main problem is a blocked up nose, I have had allergy testing which confirm allergies to cats, dogs and rabbits, and a mild allergy to pollen. I have also have asthma which is under control. I have used various anti-histimines and nasal steroid sprays with some success. However, my biggest problem now is having had very puffy eyes for the last week, no redness or itchiness, just swollen eyelids.
Avatar m tn Here in Australia it is spring time and the pollen count is through the roof. As a result I am suffering from hayfever/asthma and typically do each year from 20 October to 20 November and pretty much to those dates. At 34/63 weeks on tx it certainly is adding an extra dimension to my sx's but still upright. I have found it necessary to take 180mg of 'fexofenadine hydrochloride' an anti-hystermine I guess.
Avatar m tn I am on medication Monteluckast-10mg once daily, Fexofenadine-180mg once daily, Budamate rotacaps-400mg twice daily and Nasal Spray- Azelastine and FLuticasone. Increased vascularity is noted in the left parahilarand right paracardiac area. 2.No evidence of filtration. 3.

Avatar m tn It can be treated with oral and topical steroids only, along with oral antihistaminics (such as Cetrizine/ Fexofenadine). Any more doubts you are welcome.

Avatar n tn Hi Deek, If you think, what you are having in your ear is fungal infection then you should stop the Ciprofloxacin ear drops first as it will worsen your condition. Take some antihistaminics (for eg. Cetrizine/Fexofenadine) and meanwhile you can try with some antifungal ear drops (like Candid ear drops) but my sincere advice is to consult an ENT surgeon, in case it happens to be a fungal infection then the debris will have to be cleaned.
1565669 tn?1298559033 can i combine Mucinex DM with prescriibed Fexofenadine/Pseudo 6-120? Avatar m tn At January 2011, my IgE was 1923 IU/ml. I took medicines named Fexofenadine Hydrochloride 180 mg (0+0+1), Montelukast 10 mg (1+0+0) and Flixonase Nasal Spray according to doctors' advice. But I stopped continuing medicine after 2 month when I felt well. After that, I used to catch cold all the year round. At december 2011, I became ill seriouly and went to the same doctor. According to test of December 2011, my IgE is 1590 IU/ml. My doctor says, I have been suffering from Rhino-Sinusitis.

1363867 tn?1277825361 Hi Kali, You are having allergic rhinitis, Try with nasal spray (such as Rhinocort aqua/Flixonase/Flomist), antihistamines (Cetrizine/Fexofenadine), saline nasal drops (to keep the nose moist) and drink plenty of water. Remember there is no cure for allergic problems. PREVENTION IS THE BEST TREATMENT. Do not sleep directly under the fan, everyday change the bed sheet before going to sleep, when ever you are exposed to just cover your nose with a clean handkerchief. Any doubts you are welcome.
Avatar f tn I have been given antihistamine (fexofenadine) to no avail and creams are a temporary relief. I had a blood test to check the thyroid and the liver and the results did not show anything bad. I don't eat wheat or gluten. I avoid food causing allergy cause during several years I was suffering from dermographism. I used to have eczema when I was a kid and in my teen age but nothing like this.
1102792 tn?1285925260 Hi, You see whenever a person is exposed to an allergen, it induces an allergic reaction in the person if the person is sensitive to it. This allergic reaction induces an increase in heart rate which is a part & parcel of allergic response and give rise to the feeling of chest pain & disturbed rhythm. Hence, the only way to tackle it is by taking anti-allergic drugs like cetrizine/fexofenadine & to avoid the allergen as far as possible. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
