fetal-development

Avatar f tn it is written on the ultrasound pictures. I supposed based on the fetal size, a statistic to check if they are growing normally.
352007 tn?1372857881 Prior MRI from XXXXX Imaging dated 06/04.2008 is now available for comparison. This study consists of sagittal, and axial FLAIR, axial and sagittal T1 weighted, axial T2 and diffusion weighted sequences. Avatar n tn 2010 my HCG read 2,000 and a sac and fetal pole together with fluttering fetal heartbeat (!) could be seen on a transvaginal ultrasound. I was pretty sure on that day I was 6 weeks and 1 day, however, the doctor said the size of the sac and the rate of the heartbeat was more like that of aprrox. 5 weeks. I am scheduled for another scan in 2 weeks but am, of course, worried waiting.
Avatar f tn The fetal heart undergoes a considerable amount of growth very early in pregnancy. The most critical period of its development is between three and seven weeks after fertilization, when a simple heart tube assumes the shape of a four-chambered heart. In fact, the heart actually begins beating by the 22nd day of life.
Avatar f tn I was sent to a fetal medicine dr as well as a diabetic educator. The fetal medicine dr is monitoring my sugar and the baby's growth. I still see my regular ob as well.
2107796 tn?1336744317 She said the sac measured around 8 weeks, not 10. The fetal poles were very different in size. 1 looks like it has only developed to about 3-4 weeks, and the other is more the size of 5-6 weeks. No HB's were found in the poles. I am booked in for a repeat scan on Tuesday 8th to see if any growth/development has taken place. My heart tells me the little one has stopped completely. But i am still hopeful for the bigger one.
Avatar n tn s not reliable but if the sac size is indicating you are 6w but no fetal pole is visible that is an issue. What did your Dr suggest? Have they done hcg draw?
Avatar f tn m 6 weeks pregnant at the moment and i thought everything was going find until i got a call from my hospital telling me they needed to schedule me for an earlier appointment because when reviewing my ultrasounds they saw a problem with the fetus development. does anyone have any idea what this can mean? I would really appreciate it if you can help.
Avatar f tn 50th percentile for fetal foot length at 37 weeks is about 3 inches according to my book.
Avatar f tn Someone I know was leaarning fetal development in med school as I was going through my first trimester and I was told that was the most critical point in brain development. So my vote is no.
Avatar f tn One of the other mums had the good idea of trying to get a measurement of their size, so we all found a way to get a measurement of their size when erect, and both the other mums sons turned out to be about 1 and a half inches, and my son turned out to be a shockingly big 5 and half inches. I've also noticed that his hairs on his legs are getting a little more defined and he also seems to be just starting to grow a little bit of pubic hair.
Avatar f tn And for the record I know how big the baby is and have a general understanding of fetal development never heard of "flutters" to be the baby moving it has always ment like butterflies in your stomach to me
Avatar m tn My daughter's ultra sound shows appropriate constant brain development but always with a 10 day lag. This 10 day lag has been consistent with each ultra sound. Will the brain eventually "catch up" or does this indicate a significant delay or the potential for a developmental disability. Each doctor reading the ultra sound continues to assure her that the brain is in the "average range" and there is nothing to worry about. Ventricules are proper size.
Avatar f tn they dont want the baby to be to big...and the ultrasound most people have to check the fetal size is a fetal size and development ultrasound to see how your baby is developing and so im pretty sure that if they were concerd about the development and baby not being fully developed they wouldnt change the due date.
Avatar m tn Of course a newborn's penis is small. Yours was probably exactly the same size. If you are reacting to the fact that the testicles are unusually large looking by comparison to the penis, the two will come into balance after a while. Testicles on a baby are rather enlarged when they are born because of the hormones of the mother. Nothing to worry about. Don't mess with your baby's penis, just wipe it when you change the diapers.
589762 tn?1330207135 One when you find out you are pregnant for an edd. The second is the usual 20 week scan for development, and the third for fetal size about 4 - 6 weeks before birth. I think it all depends on where you are from, your medical coverage, etc.
Avatar f tn The baby only measured 1cm which from my research isnt as big as most are this far long however Im not panicking about that as Ive been told all fetal development is different. Ive also taken some comfort in how nauseated ive been which to me is a good sign, but not so fun! So as of now I am relaxed and excited!!
