I was sent to a fetal medicine dr as well as a diabetic educator. The fetal medicine dr is monitoring my sugar and the baby's growth. I still see my regular ob as well.

She said the sac measured around 8 weeks, not 10. The fetal poles were very different in size. 1 looks like it has only developed to about 3-4 weeks, and the other is more the size of 5-6 weeks. No HB's were found in the poles. I am booked in for a repeat scan on Tuesday 8th to see if any growth/development has taken place. My heart tells me the little one has stopped completely. But i am still hopeful for the bigger one.

s not reliable but if the sac size is indicating you are 6w but no fetal pole is visible that is an issue. What did your Dr suggest? Have they done hcg draw?

m 6 weeks pregnant at the moment and i thought everything was going find until i got a call from my hospital telling me they needed to schedule me for an earlier appointment because when reviewing my ultrasounds they saw a problem with the fetus development. does anyone have any idea what this can mean? 50th percentile for fetal foot length at 37 weeks is about 3 inches according to my book.

Someone I know was leaarning fetal development in med school as I was going through my first trimester and I was told that was the most critical point in brain development. So my vote is no.

And for the record I know how big the baby is and have a general understanding of fetal development never heard of "flutters" to be the baby moving it has always ment like butterflies in your stomach to me
