fetal-development

Avatar f tn it is written on the ultrasound pictures. I supposed based on the fetal size, a statistic to check if they are growing normally.
Avatar f tn I am so sorry that this is happenig to you. The size for a week 7 baby according to chart *****************.org shows this listed below. If your doctor is concerned about miscarriage, blighted ovum, or ectopic pregnancy, the gestational sac and fetal pole (if visible) will be measured to determine what type of development should be seen.
Avatar n tn 2010 my HCG read 2,000 and a sac and fetal pole together with fluttering fetal heartbeat (!) could be seen on a transvaginal ultrasound. I was pretty sure on that day I was 6 weeks and 1 day, however, the doctor said the size of the sac and the rate of the heartbeat was more like that of aprrox. 5 weeks. I am scheduled for another scan in 2 weeks but am, of course, worried waiting.

Beginning In the first trimester the embryo undergoes most of its early structural development. Most miscarriages occur during this period, the placenta will takes over hormone production around week 12 from the corpus luteum.
Avatar n tn So if you are only 5 weeks it sounds like your development is very good seeing both a fetal pole and hb. Did he mention what the heartrate was?? I am not sure what the "likely" fetal pole means because if there is a heartbeat then there is definitely a fetal pole there!! The hcg values vary so much that it seems it would be hard to gauge development by the hcg level except that they say you won't see anything on u/s until you are over 1000 or so. Best of luck.
Avatar f tn The fetal heart undergoes a considerable amount of growth very early in pregnancy. The most critical period of its development is between three and seven weeks after fertilization, when a simple heart tube assumes the shape of a four-chambered heart. In fact, the heart actually begins beating by the 22nd day of life.
Avatar f tn I was sent to a fetal medicine dr as well as a diabetic educator. The fetal medicine dr is monitoring my sugar and the baby's growth. I still see my regular ob as well.
2107796 tn?1336744317 She said the sac measured around 8 weeks, not 10. The fetal poles were very different in size. 1 looks like it has only developed to about 3-4 weeks, and the other is more the size of 5-6 weeks. No HB's were found in the poles. I am booked in for a repeat scan on Tuesday 8th to see if any growth/development has taken place. My heart tells me the little one has stopped completely. But i am still hopeful for the bigger one.
Avatar n tn s not reliable but if the sac size is indicating you are 6w but no fetal pole is visible that is an issue. What did your Dr suggest? Have they done hcg draw?
Avatar f tn m 6 weeks pregnant at the moment and i thought everything was going find until i got a call from my hospital telling me they needed to schedule me for an earlier appointment because when reviewing my ultrasounds they saw a problem with the fetus development. does anyone have any idea what this can mean? I would really appreciate it if you can help.
Avatar f tn 50th percentile for fetal foot length at 37 weeks is about 3 inches according to my book.
Avatar f tn Someone I know was leaarning fetal development in med school as I was going through my first trimester and I was told that was the most critical point in brain development. So my vote is no.
Avatar f tn And for the record I know how big the baby is and have a general understanding of fetal development never heard of "flutters" to be the baby moving it has always ment like butterflies in your stomach to me
