Did they give you a percentile? My baby was in the 25 percentile at 36 weeks, she was taken out at 37wks1day and is perfectly fine (was small at birth 5lbs12.5oz) but seems normal otherwise.

I was just wondering cause a friend of mine is 12 weeks and said they told her there were girl parts today at her ultrasound. I think that's way too early to tell so I was just wondering.

I would say 36 weeks. I had my daughter at 34 and her lungs weren't fully developed so she had to stay in intensive care for a week bc she couldn't breath on her own.

Im aldo measuring behind and they are monitoring fetal development.... (I'm 27 werks)... they don't do that for everybody..BUT since this time around I have lakes of blood in my placenta and high blood pressure (both are associated with low birth weight) they want to make sure my baby girl is growing at the rate she should be... ive measured 5 days smaller from the beginning...

s definitely better to go by weeks. If people ask just politely tell them weeks is more accurate and how many weeks you are.

Hi, I'm 6 weeks pregnant at the moment and i thought everything was going find until i got a call from my hospital telling me they needed to schedule me for an earlier appointment because when reviewing my ultrasounds they saw a problem with the fetus development. does anyone have any idea what this can mean? I would really appreciate it if you can help.

36 weeks with my doc office is considered full term. My son was born at 36 weeks weighing in at 6 lbs 8 oz 21 inch long very healthy.

I'm 36 and this is my 3rd pregnancy since 07....the other two pregnancies stopped developing at 8 weeks which is call a missed abortion. I opted for the medication instead of the D&C. But anyways here I am again and on the day my period was due I spotted then the next day it stopped. By the third day I had food aversions and nausea so I took the test it was positive.

Second ultrasound at 8w 6d showed gestational sac, yolk sac, and fetal pole measuring 5 1/2 weeks, but no heartbeat. I'm scheduled for a third ultrasound next wed, which would be 10weeks, and if there's no hb, it's over Is this possible - to be almost 3 weeks behind? My dates can't be that far off! Also, my doc did the 2 ultrasounds in the office, but gave me the option to have the 3rd at the hospital. Is there any benefit to that, vs having my doc do it?

If you break embryonic and fetal development into thirds then when you are in your 28th week the baby begins its final third of development. (Gestation is 266 days or 38 weeks of development). So either way you look at it you are in your 3rd trimester!

I would decline! I had my twins at 37 weeks via C-section, my daughter was 5lbs 5oz and my son was 5lbs 6oz both healthy, no complications!

20 mm Fetal heart rate: 164 bpm, the other one is 33,7 X 18,4 Fetal length: 16,7 mm Yolk Sac: 5,9 mm Fetal heart rate: 166 bpm Also embryon1 age is 10w3d but embryon 2 is 9w2d. I'm very concerned. Are those differences ok? The next ultrasound is in 10 days and the wait is killing me.

How many of you mamas never got any braxton hicks contractions? Is it really true that I could be having little ones and not know it? Will it make real contractions harder to handle without "practice"? Occasionally I have gotten uterus-spasms (which at first I thought were fetal seizures) anyone else? It feels like a sudden, quick twitchy feeling for about 3-5 seconds almost like the baby is flipping out.

Issues can be low birth weight, lung development issues, increased risk of jaundice, etc. Now, at 36 weeks these things are not likely, but it is best for babies to be at least 37 weeks. Sorry your tired of it at 30 weeks, it's not long to go. But it's best it happens when baby is ready, and after 37 weeks. Good luck.

i read the bulletins about what fetal development should be at but they all very so much from site to site that I still don't have a clear understanding. i know that probably sound nieve but I just want to make sure that I am covering all bases and that nothing goes unchecked or undetected. Well that is part of the problem my last period was in June and by that I would be around 38 weeks, by my first ultrasound results I would be around 36 weeks. To be honest with you I have no idea when conception was (we were trying really hard to concieve lol). The L/S ratio is the Lecithin Sphingomyelin Ratio. Not all moths have four weeks, it is really 4.3.....which if you are 24 weeks you are in your sixth month, second trimester. Everything I have read says the seventh month, 3rd trimester begins at 27 weeks. Pregnancy counts as 40 weeks, not 36 weeks. I jut learned that once i became pregnant so you aren't clueless.
