I was just wondering cause a friend of mine is 12 weeks and said they told her there were girl parts today at her ultrasound. I think that's way too early to tell so I was just wondering.

s still a danger of long-term problems such as respiratory, eye, digestive, etc. Generally though infants born at 30 weeks have a less chance of needing a ventilator but from what I read that also depends somewhat if the woman gets the steroid shot before delivery meant to help mature the lungs. Im aldo measuring behind and they are monitoring fetal development.... (I'm 27 werks)... they don't do that for everybody..BUT since this time around I have lakes of blood in my placenta and high blood pressure (both are associated with low birth weight) they want to make sure my baby girl is growing at the rate she should be... ive measured 5 days smaller from the beginning...

Hi, I'm 6 weeks pregnant at the moment and i thought everything was going find until i got a call from my hospital telling me they needed to schedule me for an earlier appointment because when reviewing my ultrasounds they saw a problem with the fetus development. does anyone have any idea what this can mean? I would really appreciate it if you can help.

Second ultrasound at 8w 6d showed gestational sac, yolk sac, and fetal pole measuring 5 1/2 weeks, but no heartbeat. I'm scheduled for a third ultrasound next wed, which would be 10weeks, and if there's no hb, it's over Is this possible - to be almost 3 weeks behind? My dates can't be that far off! Also, my doc did the 2 ultrasounds in the office, but gave me the option to have the 3rd at the hospital. Is there any benefit to that, vs having my doc do it?

Is this normal to not see any fetal pole or heart at this stage? The ultrasound tech said she wouldnt put me at 5 weeks 5 days.

i read the bulletins about what fetal development should be at but they all very so much from site to site that I still don't have a clear understanding. i know that probably sound nieve but I just want to make sure that I am covering all bases and that nothing goes unchecked or undetected. My daughter in law just lost her baby at 30 weeks and had to deliver him yesterday. This was the most hurtful experience I have ever had to experience. She had the most perfect pregnancy ever and had a perfect US at 20 weeks. She had been for her regular OB appointment the day before the tragic news and it was a regular non eventful check up. s the best time to get the most accurate gestational age. I had them done at 10, 20 and 30 and I have one more at 37 for fetal weight. I have 3 children already and the oldest is 14 and even then I had more than just one ultrasound.

i had my doctors appointment today the doc afformed me i was 6wks 3days today at the time of my first ultra sound i was approx 5wk 5days no heartbeat only yolk sak and development begfining so the doc said this was normal and heartbeats are usually detected in wk six or even wk seven the nurse tried to say there may only ever be a yolk sac and no bub but the doc and the lady who performed the ultrasound said no heartbeat or fetal pole can be normal at the early stage of five wks now im confused
