If you are concerned because of an U/S report, I can tell you that my Dr. did an U/S at 16 weeks to check the spine, which can be studied well by that point, but had to wait until the 20 week scan to check other organs that were more difficult to get a clear study of. The heart was an organ specifically mentioned. If you had an U/S before 18 weeks and have been sent for another one a few weeks later it may just have been difficult for the Dr to see what they wanted to see.

Hi, I'm 6 weeks pregnant at the moment and i thought everything was going find until i got a call from my hospital telling me they needed to schedule me for an earlier appointment because when reviewing my ultrasounds they saw a problem with the fetus development. does anyone have any idea what this can mean? I would really appreciate it if you can help.
Second ultrasound at 8w 6d showed gestational sac, yolk sac, and fetal pole measuring 5 1/2 weeks, but no heartbeat.
I'm scheduled for a third ultrasound next wed, which would be 10weeks, and if there's no hb, it's over

Also, my doc did the 2 ultrasounds in the office, but gave me the option to have the 3rd at the hospital. Is there any benefit to that, vs having my doc do it?
Fetal heartbeat was found w/doppler at 12 weeks. Had an ultrasound done at 13 weeks - no abnomalities detected, good heartbeat and baby was moving around.
I just went for my 16 week checkup & no heartbeat was found w/the doppler. My OB sent me for an ultrasound. There was no heartbeat and the baby measured between 13w & 1d to 13w & 6d. I have not had any cramping, spotting or bleeding.
If you break embryonic and fetal development into thirds then when you are in your 28th week the baby begins its final third of development. (Gestation is 266 days or 38 weeks of development). So either way you look at it you are in your 3rd trimester!
20 mm Fetal heart rate: 164 bpm, the other one is 33,7 X 18,4 Fetal length: 16,7 mm
Yolk Sac: 5,9 mm Fetal heart rate: 166 bpm
Also embryon1 age is 10w3d but embryon 2 is 9w2d. I'm very concerned. Are those differences ok?
The next ultrasound is in 10 days and the wait is killing me.
By 12 weeks when I had my nuchal translucency ultrasound she was moving all over the place tech had to take her time to get all the measurements lol bc she moved so much haha.
The physiologic processes in early fetal development, such as protein activity, are temperature sensitive, and the entire fetal development process hinges on the right proteins getting turned on at the right time. If your body goes from 98.6 degrees to 103 degrees, it could keep the proteins from working properly and cause you to have a miscarriage.
i had my doctors appointment today the doc afformed me i was 6wks 3days today at the time of my first ultra sound i was approx 5wk 5days no heartbeat only yolk sak and development begfining so the doc said this was normal and heartbeats are usually detected in wk six or even wk seven the nurse tried to say there may only ever be a yolk sac and no bub but the doc and the lady who performed the ultrasound said no heartbeat or fetal pole can be normal at the early stage of five wks now im confused
