Common Questions and Answers about Fear of night of darkness

fear

Avatar f tn What i mostly think about is disapearing from this world forever, being swallowed by infanite darkness, and being so easily forgotten by this ever-moving world. The fear of no longer existing haunts me in nights depriving me of sleep and giving me only uncontrollable shuddering in the darkness. Is there anyway to escape this fear? is there a way i can have my restful nights back?
Avatar m tn condoms are extremely effective against the transmission of HIV. Why not get tested after a certain amount of time...it is the responsible thing to do anyway. Health anxiety can be very hard to deal with, but you can rest easily that you did the smart thing by having protected sex. In my opinion, if this worries you, change your behavior...going going to a brothel may not be the best option if you are worried about contracting an STD....keep us posted!
Avatar f tn Oh really my pregnancy tests got lighter a day or 2 before my bleeding started with cp so assumed it was because hcg was dropping.
Avatar f tn I had a night light in our room but that was so I could see when I had to feed / change etc at night without waking my partner. That being said, my son (now 15months) won't go to sleep in total darkness. So he has a night light in his room. With this baby I'm plannig not to use one so he doesn't get used to it. But that may change lol.
Avatar m tn m fine with night time and actually enjoy night walks and I feel fine If I have someone with me. I really want to get over this it's affecting my sleeping.
Avatar n tn My 13 year old cousin has been staying with us the past few months and his fear of the dark is starting to really worry me. He will NOT sleep without the ligths on, every night before bed he searches his closet and we even put a lock on the closet door just to reassure him and he can lock it at night. He will go upstairs alone but if he can he will wait for one of us to go up with him. We asked his motehr if he was as scared at home and he is, they have lived in the same house for 12 years.
Avatar f tn Perhaps this is the cause, or perhaps stress. If only I knew of a way to make it go away. Other than having a night light on at the age of 36.
1404364 tn?1289431561 In the past, I have gotten a fade-in, fade out pattern with the darkness of the lines. But...In the past I have ALWAYS gotten a positive closer to days 17 or 18. So now my fear is that my hormones are still out of whack and it's just picking up on what is left in my system, rather than a true ovulation? I had a teeny bit of cervical mucous, but no where near what is my norm. I'm so confused!
314833 tn?1263259499 The first one was having my husband propose to me on the night of the Fourth of July, and my second is, well...getting married over Labor Day weekend! My biggest fear about becoming an adult, hmmmm...probably facing the actual reality of it all. Establishing a successful career, paying bills, finding a wonderful man to marry (check that off the list...got him!), raising kids...all that stuff that comes with being an adult and requires so much responsibility.

Avatar f tn saying to me i feel dizzy its always someting when hes punished. yet he fell asleep quite quickly. but of course to me he won the battle the night again as i was up and down to him. r u o.
Avatar m tn U sound like me. I'm so very sorry for ur loss of ur parents! When did that happen? Now to ur question. Each and every night I fear I'm going to have a heart attack and freak out. It is just anxiety. I have been telling myself...."I'm ok....I survived last night and felt just like this....docs told me I'm ok" keep a journal with ur symptoms. So when u feel light headed with arm pain for example u can look in ur journal and see u had it before and u survived. Just pray.
Avatar m tn Hi. no risk for any std from masturbation.
Avatar n tn That feeling of falling and the pressure on the side of your head could be an inner ear problem or possibly a vision problem. My advice? Go see an EENT. These don't sound like anxiety symptoms but I can see how putting off going to a doctor about the problem could create anxiety. What do you think you should do?
Avatar m tn Hi All, back at the end of November I met a girl in a club and subsequently went home with her. I was quite drunk so my memory of the night wasn't perfect. I believe the first time we were going to have sex I had a condom but don't think I could manage an erection due to being drunk but I did perform oral on her. In the morning we had fully protected sex with a condom and I fingered her a fair bit.
Avatar n tn Even though it has been 8 weeks since my surgery, I still have some residual black eyes under my eyes. One side is worse than the other as the black actually reaches to my cheek. My fear is that because the surgeon did not sedate me at all but injected a numbing solution that the skin around my eyes was more traumatized than if I had been sedated. This was done by a top surgeon in Boston so I thought this must be okay.
595125 tn?1219834270 What you descrive is a panic attack when you have this intense fear, then you become afraid of the fear and so on until it becomes a vicious circle. You came to the right place! You should browze a lot of these threads as you will quickly see that you are not alone in your fear and anxiety and you will perhaps learn from how others have coped with it.
Avatar n tn I am a 54 yr.old male. In May of 2008 I had cataract removal surgery and implants. Immediately after surgery I noticed dark areas in my peripherial field. I refered to them as "blinders", like on a horse. I couldn't see the far extents of my peripherial vision. This condition appears to be worse in bright light and when trying to focus on something close. Two vision field tests have been normal and eye drops "pilocarpine" have not helped.
