glipizide is in the Sulfonylurea class of drugs. Sulfonylurea drugs work by forcing the pancreas to make more insulin, insulin lowers BG. So if you dont eat and continue to take glipizide you run the risk of getting hypos. I say the risk as it depends what your BG is and how much glipizide lowers your BG.
If you are on glipizide you should have a BG test meter to check your BG. So test to see how your BG is doing.

Getting control on the right-for-you medication is not easy. I have beed T2D since 2007 and have been on a number of different Meds, some of which seemed to work but then longer term had problems. You must keep you chin up and work with your dr. to find the best contol for you.

During concomitant treatment with hydantoin derivatives(phenytoin), the serum hydantoin concentration may rise. Acitrom may potentiate the hypoglycaemic effect of sulfonylurea derivatives. I also cant believe how many people are suffering the same vile disgusting eggy burps.I have been suffering for over a year now I`ve tried all over counter drugs,endoscopy colonoscopy IBS treatment all negatives.There seems to be no trigger! I`ve changed diet, you name it .
