Exelon patch is on back order from the manufacturer until October 24. What alternatives are there?
t calming her down any, and she did not refil the prescription. 2 months later she had another bad dream and the doctor was notified. He then prescribed exelon.
My question: If she does not have Alzheimer's disease, why would he prescribe either of these medicines for her? If this is dimentia, aren't there other drugs out there for that or even drugs that have a claming effect? From what I have read about excelon, I am not sure if it is compatible with her heart medication.
My husband has been prescibed the the 9.5 exelon patch but we still have a supply of the 4.6 patches. With them being so expensive can I use two of the 4.6 patches at the same time until we run out?
can i combine 225mg. of effexor xr with exelon or dexamphetamine to help my sedated or lethargic condition?
She has since tested negative for H Pylori, and has been taken off Razadyne(24 mg ) for memory problems, put on Exelon (6mg patch), then taken off it after two weeks and more nausea. She has been off the Exelon patch for 72 hours, and still experiences nausea when she moves about.
Still puzzling and frustrating. doctors are stumped (still) and I am feeling worthless because I cannot help her kick the nausea or find the cause.

Hi my question is l have just ordered some Iodine supplements that contains both iodine
and selenium, as well as Vitamin B2 (riboflavin),but after reading the posts here and information on the intranet l am totally confused as to if it is safe for me to be taking the supplements l have just ordered. Especially as I was diagnosed with Hashi's approx. three years ago after a spell of hypothyroidism which was corrected with a small dose of thyroxine (25mg) for 3mth.
Never had a problem until now. He started with temp memory loss and the doctor put him on 2 Exelon Patches per day to help him with the memory loss and also he now on Oxcarbazepine 300 mg. My question is with him taking these two type of medications he is still having seizure and cant sleep. Me as a mother do know what to think and do to help him. Can someone help me with this.

Her neurologist doesn't think the medicine is the cause of the nausea, though it could be aggrivating whatever is causing it.

An RMT informed me a month ago about cinnamon having the ability to lower Cholesterol. I looked in up the intranet and sure enough there are pages with research that suggest cinnamon may lower cholestrol. I bough capsules at a health food store 9 days ago.
I took the capsules for a few days but on the third day found I had a headache and was very tired. I also found myself somewhat naseuated, but all of this may not be related to the cinnamon capsules.
But, you can get some really good information on the intranet about narcolepsy, cataplexy, and sleep studies. Just make sure the website is reputable.
I just want to commend you as a parent for looking further into this. My mother always just thought I was lazy. Your son is a very lucky guy to have such a cool, concerned mom!

The eye surgeon I saw just said my eye issue related to hashimotos thyroiditis and it might last a few years. He never gave more explanation than that. I saw on intranet that TED symptoms can be quite severe. I'm trying a new eye doctor who also specializes in TED...a good doc gives you more info than that so I think it is worth seeking a second opinion. At this point, I don't know what to expect or if clearing up thyroid will make a difference.

Im suppose to take the Clonidine after I stop using the patches.Im suppose to take two pills a day for five days, then drop to one pill a day for the last five.
Yes, it is a fast taper. I violated my pain contract and got fired. I had lost two patches last month due to a heat and high humidy streak here. I lost them in my bed, they got the fuzzies from my sheets stuck on them and were useless.
I ended up in the ER three days later in full blown w/d's.
It would be helpful if the Exelon Patch advertisers didn't feel it was necessary to have their information on continual scroll. There is a reason why I don't read rolling credits at the end of a movie, too. They usually roll too fast to read and simply hurt my head and can trigger migraines. Most of the time I don't see rolling adds, but when I do, I'm put off. Uh...I did not search for anything that would have had anything to do with this particular advertiser.
I feel at such a loss in trying to help my Mother. I've gone back to Neurologist and am awaiting his advise, but he doesn't appear to be emphathetic to this issue. Her GP defers to the neurologist. My 81 yr old Mother in middle to late stage Alzheimer's. She is not on any anti-anxiety med except for Paxil which was prescribed about a month ago. She gets aggitated during the day at times and especially sundowners time.

Thank you. I notice you are in Cleveland and have a question regarding Mom. She has been treated for the last few years for Alzheimer's with an Exelon patch. I am not sure why she isn't on any other therapy but this is what her family doc has her on. She has not been "formaly" diagnosed however, the stress of the situation with dad has sent her downward very quickly. Unfortunetly without him, her anchor, her condition has become severe.

Note: Very interesting section on cognitive issues is found about half way down, well worth reading for tips and tricks, medications etc.
You are also ENTITLED to have copies of ALL your medical records. It should be on the medical intranet system and all your blood tests and biopsy info should be easy to print out by any of your doctors. That your liver looks good is not the correct answer. In Europe they usually would show it as A.... F.... A stands for inflammation and F for fibrosis.
I'm sorry I'm also blabbering on, am not feeling so good today.
