Exelon is the only patch. There are medications that can be taken by mouth. I work at a health care facility and we continue to get the patches. Have you checked with other pharmacies?
Often she has had angry outbursts over the past few years also, has been afraid of descending stairways, falling, and dark places. Mother is in her late 90s now, but this has been going on for over 10 years.
Recently she went to see a neurologist who took a blood test and ordered a brain scan. THis doctor told her that her brain is shrinking and that she does not have Alzheimer's disease. However, he prescribed Aricept for her to take.
My husband has been prescibed the the 9.5 exelon patch but we still have a supply of the 4.6 patches. With them being so expensive can I use two of the 4.6 patches at the same time until we run out?
can i combine 225mg. of effexor xr with exelon or dexamphetamine to help my sedated or lethargic condition?

There is a chance that your father suffers from both insomnia and oversleeping. The first night he has a disturbed sleep , hence he sleeps over the next day.

I am a physician in the Philadelphia suburbs and new to area. I am looking for a Cardiologist or Neurologist with experience and interest in following patients with POTS patients who were dx in adolescence and are now young adults and no longer eligible to be seen by their Pediatric docs. I also have two children and a neice with POTS, so I know how hard it is to access good care. Any suggestions? Thank you.
My wife aged seventy, has had a persistent nausea problem since about February 2008. She wakes up in the morning and feels fine...until she starts to move around. The nausea stays with her until she has some food and liquid in her stomach. Many times, it subsides, but comes back when she moves around again. All her tests EGD, Cat Scan, MRI, etc turn out normal. Hida Scan showed her gall bladder to be very small and only 10% operative, so she had it removed about two months ago.
Does anyone know the name a good neurosurgeon in the Philadelphia area who is familiar with and specializes in the surgical management of this condition? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
I recently had an MRI during a visit to the ER for a persistent migraine (2 weeks) that was accompanied by right hand numbness. My MRI showed a herniation of 7mm & the report listed the finding of Chiari I Malformation. The ER doctor brushed it off & simply told me I should see a specialist about my hand. I came home & did a ton of research & feel like Chiari is probably the answer to so many problems I've had throughout the past few years.
