Avatar n tn Exelon patch is on back order from the manufacturer until October 24. What alternatives are there?
Avatar f tn t calming her down any, and she did not refil the prescription. 2 months later she had another bad dream and the doctor was notified. He then prescribed exelon. My question: If she does not have Alzheimer's disease, why would he prescribe either of these medicines for her? If this is dimentia, aren't there other drugs out there for that or even drugs that have a claming effect? From what I have read about excelon, I am not sure if it is compatible with her heart medication.
Avatar n tn My husband has been prescibed the the 9.5 exelon patch but we still have a supply of the 4.6 patches. With them being so expensive can I use two of the 4.6 patches at the same time until we run out?
Avatar m tn can i combine 225mg. of effexor xr with exelon or dexamphetamine to help my sedated or lethargic condition?
Avatar n tn She has since tested negative for H Pylori, and has been taken off Razadyne(24 mg ) for memory problems, put on Exelon (6mg patch), then taken off it after two weeks and more nausea. She has been off the Exelon patch for 72 hours, and still experiences nausea when she moves about. Still puzzling and frustrating. doctors are stumped (still) and I am feeling worthless because I cannot help her kick the nausea or find the cause. Really looking for help here. Any will be gratefully accepted.

She has been off the Exelon patch for 72 hours, and still experiences nausea when she moves about. Recently, she started back on the lower dose of Razadyne. Her neurologist doesn't think the medicine is the cause of the nausea, though it could be aggrivating whatever is causing it.

Avatar n tn I would recommend seeing a chiropractor for an adjustment. It sounds like you wife's neck could possibly be out of alignment which can cause a ton of pain. I suffered from migraines and neck pain my whole life, starting as a little girl and then I finally saw a chiropractor as an adult when I was pregnant. I no longer have headaches or neck pain. I really hope this helps and that your wife starts feeling better soon.
Avatar m tn Dear Doctor Handley: I am American. In the past, I traveled a great deal to Russia and other places for business . Unfortunately, visited with escorts and occasionally non-escorts (i.e. regular girls). All Russian ladies, mostly in Moscow . Couple months ago I read an article on the internet about spread of AIDS in heterosexual population, and now I am terrified and think about this issue constantly.
Avatar n tn It would be helpful if the Exelon Patch advertisers didn't feel it was necessary to have their information on continual scroll. There is a reason why I don't read rolling credits at the end of a movie, too. They usually roll too fast to read and simply hurt my head and can trigger migraines. Most of the time I don't see rolling adds, but when I do, I'm put off. Uh...I did not search for anything that would have had anything to do with this particular advertiser.
Avatar n tn Whilst I am also not a Doctor, I must say that this is by far the absolute best site I have seen on the subject of HIV, Drs. Hook & Handley seem to be absolutely the best out there in terms of their knowledge on the subject. They just gave me some advice, and it made me feel so much better. Having now read hundreds and hundreds of their posts, it seems that the possibility of contracting HIV from anal sex if you are the Giver (insertive partner) is something like 1 in 500, i.e.
Avatar f tn I feel at such a loss in trying to help my Mother. I've gone back to Neurologist and am awaiting his advise, but he doesn't appear to be emphathetic to this issue. Her GP defers to the neurologist. My 81 yr old Mother in middle to late stage Alzheimer's. She is not on any anti-anxiety med except for Paxil which was prescribed about a month ago. She gets aggitated during the day at times and especially sundowners time.
Avatar n tn On top[ of that, I was reading some posts today from Dr. Handley himself to other people, and I see him say at least a couple of times that even when true ARS occurs, it is almost always accompanied by high fever over 100 degress fahrenheit. I definitely did not have fever, I know that. Guess I'm letting the irrational side of the brain overwhelm the commonsense side. Thanks all!
Avatar n tn Thank you for reply. I saw a recent comment from Dr. Handley few days ago to a woman nervous about symptoms, I have copied it below. I am sure I am an idiot, but it seems like he is saying that its rare to have ARS without fever, and that its usually well over 100 degrees. Also, for my testing, what is your opinion on rapid finger ***** tests? I see some people say the rapid has higher chance of false positive, how much higher chance is that, or its just not true?
537497 tn?1292553056 Panic Attacks by Robert Handley with Pauline Neff...you should get it if you can. It is really helping me! It makes so much sense what is going on and how to fix it! It will all be alright!
Avatar n tn Thank you. I notice you are in Cleveland and have a question regarding Mom. She has been treated for the last few years for Alzheimer's with an Exelon patch. I am not sure why she isn't on any other therapy but this is what her family doc has her on. She has not been "formaly" diagnosed however, the stress of the situation with dad has sent her downward very quickly. Unfortunetly without him, her anchor, her condition has become severe.
1310633 tn?1430224091 The prediction by NRG Energy, Calpine Corp, NextEra Energy Inc and Exelon Corp, under a new umbrella trade group called Texans for Reliable Power, appeared in a full-page newspaper ad Thursday to respond to opposition from big industrial users that have stymied efforts to reform the deregulated power market. The ad appeared in the Austin American-Statesman, read by policy makers in the state capitol.
Avatar f tn Additional studies of the Alzheimer’s medications Exelon® (rivastigmine) and Namenda® (memantine HCl) also did not demonstrate a clear benefit. Some side effects may include stomachor bowel problems, mood changes, and urinary difficulty......" Note: Very interesting section on cognitive issues is found about half way down, well worth reading for tips and tricks, medications etc.
769333 tn?1235214424 My primary dr first gave me Rozerem which did not help, panic became more intense. Memory clinic dr ordered Exelon patch and 50 mg Seroquel, still did not work. After many sleepless nights and panic .25mg daily of Alprazolam together with 50mg Seroquel helped for a while. Seems whenever there is a change in his daily routines his sleep pattern also changes. (Friend visiting overnite or family get togethers) Seroquel was increased to 100mg. with 1 Alprazolam.
