Mother had been experiencing dreams, nightmares really centering on the things she fears the most - abandoment, loss of control of her money, being pushed down the stairs, etc. These dreams were very real to her and she would then argue with her husband about why he said he wanted to do these things to her. He, of course, knew nothing of these "conversations and situations" she thought were so real.
My husband has been prescibed the the 9.5 exelon patch but we still have a supply of the 4.6 patches. With them being so expensive can I use two of the 4.6 patches at the same time until we run out?
can i combine 225mg. of effexor xr with exelon or dexamphetamine to help my sedated or lethargic condition?
She has since tested negative for H Pylori, and has been taken off Razadyne(24 mg ) for memory problems, put on Exelon (6mg patch), then taken off it after two weeks and more nausea. She has been off the Exelon patch for 72 hours, and still experiences nausea when she moves about.
Still puzzling and frustrating. doctors are stumped (still) and I am feeling worthless because I cannot help her kick the nausea or find the cause.

Never had a problem until now. He started with temp memory loss and the doctor put him on 2 Exelon Patches per day to help him with the memory loss and also he now on Oxcarbazepine 300 mg. My question is with him taking these two type of medications he is still having seizure and cant sleep. Me as a mother do know what to think and do to help him. Can someone help me with this.

Her neurologist doesn't think the medicine is the cause of the nausea, though it could be aggrivating whatever is causing it.

She is not on any anti-anxiety med except for Paxil which was prescribed about a month ago. She gets aggitated during the day at times and especially sundowners time. She can be fearful, combative, start singing rhymes, and now has started teeth grinding. She has partials and suffers from trigeminal neuralgia and takes tegretol & levetiracetam for this...She has slight tremor in one hand and receives cepra.
I was taking pristiqe for depression and anxiety I'm 6 wks today and as soon as I found out I was pregnant the Dr. Made me switch over to Zoloft for depression. I've heard nothing but horrible things about Zoloft. Is there anyone that has takin it during their pregnancy? What is your opinion and experience?
I've dealt with depression for most of my life and have been medicated for the past year. I have been off medication for the duration of my pregnancy but due to some family issues and stress, I've been really struggling. Is there anything anybody here has done to help lift their spirits? I really don't want to go back on medications during my pregnancy, and I seriously will try anything to feel better.
OK, I will try to consult with my doctor for Zyprexa (Olanzapine). Wikipedia said FDA approved it for only Mania in bipolar patients not for depression. But I think antipsychotics also reduce depression by looking at the experiences of different people. Can Risperidone also work like Zyprexa? I am currently on it with an anti depressant.
for T3 meds, and pay for them out of their own pocket. Have you looked really hard for a doctor that will at least give you a prescription for T3? We can certainly supply you with enough scientific study data to support the need for T3 when your Free T3 level is low in the range. Do you think such info might persuade your doctor to allow a trial of T3 med?
I, like lonewolf07 used accupunture as a means of reliving my depression and help with my anxiety and it did work for me also. But, for me I only felt the positive effects for about a week and then I would need another treatment.
I recently moved so don't have a source available yet and has lonwolf07 siad it;s rather expensive.
Lexapro and Celexa are not interchangeable, and they are not approved for all of the same uses. Both are approved for the treatment of depression. However, only Lexapro is approved to treat anxiety.
Regarding the effectiveness of the two medicines, some studies have suggested that Lexapro may be more effective than Celexa for depression treatment, while others have not found significant differences between these two medications. And what works well for one may not work as well for another.
I have been suffering from chronic pain. My doctor has prescribed Effexor for the depression that goes along with the chronic pain. I've read a little about Effexor and am not sure this is right for me. The dose now is 25mg once a day with food and increasing to 2 times a day as "tolerable". Any one here have experience with this stuff?
I think it has helped some peoples depression for others it has made there depression worse . Regardless at the moment it isnt being used as an anti depressent I would never encourage anyone buy it off the street and use it as one .
thanks for advice....Dr gave sub for depression and said it was not habit forming! i was not taking any type of narc. when given this..had tried the usual stuff to ease the depr/anxie. so guess Dr thought this would help....help the profit margin.was first started on 12 mg....when i found out what sub is used for i told dr i wanted to stop....was told to just quit,id have no w/d...that was an experience...think ill take vics when i taper till sub is out of system....
t find help even here I am so afraid of what the outcome will be for them. I feel so helpless as I read the site on depression and medication problems,I don't feel that I can do enough to help these people and I myself never knowing when I'll end up gone from medhelp for awhile or forever with my own health problems. I feel that those I have talked to really are in need of proffesional, carring help and that there must be a way to help them find it no matter what the need???????????????
