Our aim was to investigate the efficacy and safety of etanercept as adjuvant to interferon and ribavirin in treatment-naive patients with HCV. METHODS: Double-blind, randomized, placebo controlled trial. Fifty patients with chronic HCV were randomly assigned to receive interferon alfa-2b and ribavirin with either etanercept or placebo for 24 weeks. The main outcome measure was the absence of HCV RNA at 24 weeks, the on treatment response at the end of the etanercept randomization period.

Well, peri spinal etanercept is a relatively new therapy for sciatica type of pain. However, as with any new therapy, it has its success and failure stories. It is however known to penetrate the spinal fluid and cause rapid relief in pain. The negative side is that there is no pain relief (which actually cannot be a negative side as you are already in pain). As a note of caution: this mode of drug delivery with etanercept is still in late experimental stage.
I have been on methotrexate for over 20 years and also have been on etanercept (enbrel) but now am only on methotrexate, celebrex and infusions of rituxan every 6 months. I read about all the adverse reactions of all the meds I take and these have never been associated with either of your meds.

The standard therapy options include intravenous immunoglobulin and plasmapharesis, corticosteroids, azathioprine, cyclophosphamide, etanercept, mycophenolate mofetil, interferon alpha 2a and tacrolimus. Current ones are interferon beta 1a, rituximab, and high dose cyclophosphamide. Your neurologist needs to apprise you of the long-term side effects since prolonged therapy are required. Botox shots are not known to be used in therapy.

I'm a 30 year old who is having trouble getting pregnant and I have just started fertility treatment 2 months ago. I am on Crinone, CLomid, and Ovidrel. My husband and I are doing timed intercourse with this treatment. I am so worried that this isn't going to work, but I was curious to know what the sucess rate is with this cocktail of treatment.
Congratulations on trying to conceive! I was being treated with Metformin for my diabetes risk and irregular cycles. For women, Metformin can also make them super fertile (odd side effect) while regulating blood sugars. I'm not familiar with men and fertility issues, so I did a quick search and found this:

Lose weight .Exercise daily and indulge in healthy dietary habits. You and your husband should quit smoking and alcohol if you are habituated to it. Have sex two to three days prior to ovulation as it can increase your chances of conceiving. These are the most fertile days. There are many ovulation predictor kits available in the market which can predict ovulation. If it doesn’t help seeking the opinion of a gynecologist will be helpful.
well I don't want to worry you but I also had an HSG and everything was clear and everything else was normal and 6 IUI's later with clomid and still haven't gotten pregnant. The doctor decided that we should check for endo with a lap because even if your tubes are clear the endo could prevent the tubes from picking up the egg..I'd really look into it if I were you just to be 100% sure you are ok..
I found it somewhat relaxing, but they used smaller needles (Japanese needles) which might have helped. The practitioner was also so nice... Tried it for 5 months and then we had to move out of state so I stopped. I wouldn't try it for fertility at this point as I feel 5 months of trying it was a good enough shot.
I have been on Lupron, Synarel and BCP and have been blessed with two beautiful children, however I would love one more. My youngest is 4. After her birth I was fine with no symptoms up until 1 year ago. We got pregnant and I mc at 12 weeks. For about 1 year or so I have different cramps (only during menstruation), not like endo, but lower and almost like a gnawing pain. The bleeding is very heavy and large clots for 7 days. My doctor says its probably adendomyosis.
He has said that he has it on both the left and the right side and that the physician has said that the veins on the left side are 4 mm in width.
I have read a lot about the condition online and I am concerned about infertility. We are not trying for a baby yet but would like children in the future. The physician has told him that it is not something to worry about just yet, but I feel I want a second opinion.
hi am 25 yrs old and me and my husband have been trying to concive now for 2 yrs but nothing.. i recently went to the doctors and he told me i had a tyroid problem. he gave me synthroid 75g and told me to come back in 4 wks to see the process. i was just wondering... will synthroid help? and if so, how long will it take me to try to concive again? thank you for your time and hope to hear from you guys soon.
