Avatar f tn I only took them for three days and then stopped because of such side effects as total loss of appetite, insomnia and pulling pain the shoulder. It felt like my arm had gone numb. This month I decided to try again and chose Qlaira (estradiol valerate/dienogest combination). As of now it doesn't seem to me that I have any other noticeable side effects except for this pulling pain in my left shoulder.
Avatar m tn Qlaira (estradiol valerate/dienogest) is an oral contraceptive with four sequential phases comprising differing levels of the oestrogen, estradiol valerate, and the progestogen, dienogest, in a oestrogen step-down and progestogen step-up regimen. It's strange..because physically, I feel like I'm on my period... you know that feeling that you have in your tummy etc..

Avatar f tn Dear doctors, I'm having a long and heavy period since I was 15. I have been to many doctors, they said it was hormonal issue but the medicine they gave never really work. As soon as I stop the medication, the problem come back. I had almost 10 times of transfusion during the time, my latest hB rate was 3.8. On 2010, one doctor diagnosed me that I'm having fibroid, yet he didn't give me any medication and just ask me to lose weight. Another doctor told me that I'm having fibroid.
Avatar f tn I think up to 12 weeks. Keep in mind that they have to disclose possible side effects. All these fertility drugs have crazy side effects......why is it that this is the only one noticed.??
Avatar f tn She says that I am only to take the white tablets (containing Estradiol valerate 2mg) once a day along with my other pills and she says this is because it will help my uterus grow as she is concerned about lack of space and possible miscarriage. My concern is that following some internet research - these tablets (The Progyluton) appear to be strongly contraindicated for pregnancy!! I am worried about taking them and I'm also worried about NOT taking them!!!!
Avatar f tn The side effects of Incurin (estradiol) are similar to the effects of any other reproductive hormone therapy and include: hair loss, swollen vulva, swollen mammary glands, and vomiting. The most serious effect from high doses is that estrogen (the active ingredient in Incurin) may have a tumour-promoting effect in target organs with estrogen receptors, such as the mammary gland. The most dangerous effect of PPA (phenylpropanolamine) is hypertension.

Avatar f tn Hi, I am 28 and came off the pill Qlaira 26+2 (estradiol valerate/dienogest). Had small brown spotting during 23,24 day while on pill (tough that was withdrawal bleed). Period (or real withdrawal bleed) came 17 days after last active tablet. My question is, which of those was withdrawal bleed and what is the chance to get pregnant if I had unprotected intercourse during bleed in day 17,20 after last active tablet? Can I treat last bleed as first day of new cycle with real menstruation?

1439094 tn?1320322110 I know several other people that have PCOS and they too did not respond to clomid and a couple of them recently got preg on Femera. The success stories for women with PCOS are greater on Femera than Clomid plus the side effects on Clomid are killer and I really didn't have any side effects on Femera! Good luck to you!!
