Avatar n tn t decide on a definite name.. either Lola-Rose Savage or Lola Ria Rose Savage? What sounds best in your opinion?
Avatar f tn We need the reference ranges for each of the tests. Ranges vary lab to lab and have to come from your mother's own report. I see the TPOab at 60. What it is "thyro anti" - is that Thyroglobulin Antibodies (TGab)? Also what is "comp thyro" and "tg-ria"? Are those the terms used on the lab report?
Avatar f tn My doctor at the time was mainly testing my TSH, FT4 (the small range one), sometimes a total t4-and did a T3 by RIA once and I am curious as to what it meant...there is almost nothing on this test online. I thought I saw somewhere that the higher the number in t3 by RIA, the less T3 you have available. Just wondering if anyone here knows what the results mean as that high number is confusing me. I just know I had major HYPO symptoms at the time.
Avatar n tn I think RIA means radioimmunoassay. It is an ultra sensitive testing method.
Avatar f tn Like the pathology report actually said suspicious. How reassuring right? So my endo wants to do RIA, I agreed. She is my Dr after all I trust her.... I am now 6 weeks post TT and had my first labs done. Apparently my TSH is too high so I can't do the RIA yet? Because my TSH is too high is that an indicator there are still cancerous thyroid cells left? Or that the thyroid cancer cells have spread to my lymphnodes or somewhere else?
374593 tn?1257879950 I always thought that the estradiol was to make sure your lining was thick enough for implantation. Because I now the drugs like clomid can thin your lining making it impossible for the egg to implant. I could be wrong though.
Avatar f tn How long after a confirmed pregnancy are you suppose to continue taking Estradiol? Just read on the internet that it can cause birth defects and I can't reach my doctor to confirm this.
Avatar n tn I am a dental assitant and have been one since 98. Like the person said before me, it's hard to diagnose without seeing the problem. You do not need to see a oral surgeon for this problem, though. You can see a general dentist. It sounds like you have an abcess. When there's an infection in a tooth and there isn't a place for it to drain a pimple forms above the tooth.
Avatar f tn A score of 8 main symptoms of hypothyroidism, serum thyroxine radioimmunoassay (T4-RIA), serum T4-RIA/thyroid binding globulin (TBG), 24 h urine free triiodothyronine (T3) were considered before and after treatment. The score of these 8 main symptoms is a reliable expression of their illness in 97% of hypothyroid patients. 24 h urine free T3 correlates better with the clinical status of hypothyroid patients (R2 = 0.30) than serum T4-RIA (R2 = 0.12), and even better than T4-RIA/TBG (R2 = 0.19).
Avatar n tn I am on 200 mg prometrium /5 mg estradiol, and metformin as well as tirosint. The prometrium and estradiol is for hot flashes. The metformin for prediabetes, couldn't get my a1c down, and tirosint for thyroid disease. My question is this...the prometrium and estradiol are causing my blood sugars to stay high, as well as make me very tired, as well as making me gain weight. I walk briskly at least 1 hour to 1 1/2 hour daily. I watch what I eat, low sugars, etc.
7649183 tn?1393014236 Menostar (estradiol transdermal system) 14 mcg per day - each 3.25 cm2 system contains 1 mg of estradiol. Vivelle-Dot® (estradiol transdermal system), 0.025 mg/day - each 2.5 cm² system contains 0.39 mg of estradiol USP for nominal* delivery of 0.025 mg of estradiol per day. Since the Menostar patch is applied once/weekly and contains 1 mg of estradiol, then that's around .14 mg/day (the data says .014 mg/day). The Vivelle-dot is applied twice/weekly and contains .
