estradiol in males

i'm 41 and my husband is 48. my fsh level is 12.4 and estradiol is 22. husband's sperm test came back great, he is a fertile mertile.

I spoke to my doctor yesterday and he indicated the "L" in 10L estradiol meant my level was "L"ow not liters. If I could ask a follow up question, since my initial question was answered by my doctor. If I get the testosterone shots, how likely is it that I will have a large portion of it converted to estrogen given the fact that my current level is low. Should I consider taking a aromatase inhibitor as a preventative measure for testosterone shots.

Can you check these levels yourself or is this something you have to go in and have a doctor do? Only curious because I've been considering going in to seek professional advice too. I always thought that the estradiol was to make sure your lining was thick enough for implantation. Because I now the drugs like clomid can thin your lining making it impossible for the egg to implant. I could be wrong though.

How long after a confirmed pregnancy are you suppose to continue taking Estradiol? Just read on the internet that it can cause birth defects and I can't reach my doctor to confirm this.

I am on 200 mg prometrium /5 mg estradiol, and metformin as well as tirosint. The prometrium and estradiol is for hot flashes. The metformin for prediabetes, couldn't get my a1c down, and tirosint for thyroid disease. My question is this...the prometrium and estradiol are causing my blood sugars to stay high, as well as make me very tired, as well as making me gain weight. I am currently taking Lupron and Estradiol leading up to my IVF. I am having awful headaches and some nausea with the estradiol. Did anyone else experience this and does it go away? Thanks!

ur bloodwork seems normal...fsh and estradiol are normal...lh is normal however in follicular peak d normal level is 4.1-68.7....doesn't matter as a pathologist i can state that these are normal values...good luck...
