I was asked to take Ranitidine (Zantac) and Esomeprazole (Nexum) in case it was a case of GERD; I was even prescribed Montelukast Sodium (Myteka) in case it was an allergy that was causing the choking. I've used nasal drops because one doctor also suggested it could have been caused by Sinusitis. None of the above helped. I have been taking Pregabalin (Lyrica) and found that it helped decrease the extremity of the pain in my chest but the choking still remains. Could this be cancer?

As fas as I know, nexium (esomeprazole) only interferes with biaxin (clarithromycin). It heightens the amount of esomeprazole by inhibiting the degradation of esomeprazole. BTW I take salt tabs but not thermo-tabs as those are buffered with potassium but are not so high in sodium with each tablet. I take 1 gram tablets so I get a higher boost of sodium and carry them with me so that when I feel wonky, I can take one. Summer is especially hard and I take more. I take 2 daily as it is, and more as needed! You may want to consider upping your salt intake (salt food, salty food) and carrying the thermotabs to take as needed when you feel off and see if it helps.

Hi, I am from Bangladesh. They say my sister grew some vegetation on the heart. At first they suggested Penicillin G Sodium IV injection for 6 weeks but it wasn't available here locally. So we gave Oricef (Ceftriaxone) IV inj for 4 weeks and after that some improvements has been observed. In the meantime the Penicillin G Sodium injection has arrived from Canada. (Now 4 weeks is ending). So we need to continue injection for another two weeks.

Hi Doc, I was diagnose with gonorrhea infection and with on-going treatment for 5 days now. The doctor provided me a medicine which were 3 days injection (completed), antibiotic tablets good for 5 up to 7 days (esomeprazole, ofloxacine, doxycycline. have terrible constipation for that i daily take sodium picosulfate. have APD for which i take esomeprazle 20mg daily. for thyroid im taking carbimazole 10mg and proranolol 10mg daily. im also taking antihistamines for last 6 years for severe allergic rhinitis. plz tell me how should I proceed for the treatment of thyroid nodule???

Can I take esomeprazole,diazepam,antihistamine( Given by doc to help sleep ). Green tea capsules,cranberry pills,multivitamins and kanna together please? And on days I don't take my diazepam can i take valerian instead with these other supplements? Please advise. Thanks.

The side effects of Tygacil are similar to tetracyclines and include diarrhea, nausea and vomiting. dr give me letter for my own dr..for new tablets for my reflux..on getting my tablets they called esomeprazole .40mg twice daily..and iv got to say they have helped my reflux,so what im thinking now is esomeprazole the same family of meds as nexius..i dont have to take these new meds with food just full glass water...i will check with my drs on thid .

I wonder if you have considered discussing tapering off/discontinuing Nexium/Esomeprazole and see what happens. After having the Nissen Fundoplication surgery I was able to discontinue taking the drug and have been symptom free.
