s stop production of the acids, when u stop taking the meds, it flips the on switch and many times our system makes too much all at once and we feel the same as we did b4....this is y it is very important to slowly step off these meds and know u may have some GERD until ur body adjusts. ve done a lot of experimenting with different reflux meds to see if they change anything but no luck.
