I have POTS and am supposed to go to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota this winter. I'm curious who has been to Mayo before and how their experiences went. Did you use the POTS clinic part of it or something else? I am also curious because I am mainly going to see if any doctor can figure out the underlying cause of my POTS (my current doctors are not interested in testing for any possible causes of it). Should I go to the POTS clinic part of it or should I just see a general doctor there?

Vanderbilt has a full autonomic testing clinic and Mayo Jacksonville has a partial autonomic testing clinic. There are tests at Vanderbilt that Mayo J. doesn't have (in fact some of the ones they're planning on doing on you), and likely you DO need to have those tests if you have generalized dysautonomia rather than "just" POTS.
You can go online and register or call to set up appointments at Cleveland Clinic and the MAYO Clinic. MAYO has three clinics in the U.S. You do not need a referral to get in to either of these clinics. I have also heard of people the drive there and tell them their symptoms and sometimes they get in right away. So, you might want to consider checking them out online and trying to set up an appointment. I hope this will help you, as I know how frustrating this can be and disabilitating.
Drs here say it will get worse and can only treat the symptoms. I want to go to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, which is cash. Would you recommend doing so.? All her Drs, dont talk together and feel she is on too many meds. People say UCLA has testing...saw one nero dr there no testing was ordered only assessment.
she has been diagnosed with pelvic floor dysfunction at the mayo clinic in rochester minnesota. the problem is that she is constantly bloated and in pain. she cant sit for very long. she has been constipated for a year now. and nobody at any hospitals we have gone to can actually do anything about it. has anybody had any experiences like this? does anybody have any suggestions that i may be able to try and follow up on? this is taking a massive tole on her life and anything can help.
I am not a health professional but have NEVER heard of masturbation causing erectile dysfunction. But if you are suffering guilt from your masturbation, then that could easily cause ED. But there are a slew of things that could also cause ED - but I really don't think masturbation is one of them.

If you suspect to have it, you need to visit a doctor so they can determine if it is physical or psychological problem. It's usually psychological or it could be the combination of physical or psychological.
Usually men over 40 that experience erectile dysfunction relates to a physical problem or some underlying medical condition, ie. diabetis, high blood pressure, etc.

Woke up one day a few months ago with dizziness, serious balance and walking issues, tinnitus, severe neck pain on both sides, peripheral neuropathy type symptoms, extremely distorted vision where everything seemed smokey and surreal, worst headache of my life on my left back side of my skull, muscle twitching everywhere and I mean everywhere, left calf and ankle numbness, erectile dysfunction, urination issues ( felt weird and sort of numb) and everything seemed so damned hard to do like taking
Could you have pelvic floor dysfunction? If you do there is a treatment at the mayo clinic for this condition.
Did either of you have nausea associated with your abdominal pain and did you experience heightened nausea or pain around the time of your period?
I had my gallbladder removed in May 2010 and have had this severe pain in my upper abdomen, persistent nausea, and dizziness. Once a month near the time of my period, these symptoms get elevated to the point I am sick in bed for days. Am working with a specialist who suspects it has something to do with SOD, so prescribed muscle relaxants to start.
