I started a course of PEP that included Tenvor-EM (Indian version Emtricitabine/Tenofovir DF) and Kaluvia (generic of lopinavir/retonavir) for 25 days and interrupted it for two reasons:
1-My partner tested Negative(Antigen/ Antibody) on 22 days post exposure
2-Thinking that i might be developing facial Lipodystrophy (slight facial fat loss under cheek bones). I cant tell if my face was like this before the treatment or it is just an illusion.
Hey im in insulin for years now (dm type1), but today i did notice that my left belly is way bigger than the right. is there anyway that i could treat this with diet, and exercise ? or could it still possible to reverse this situation without any operation? Thank you!
ok i did hiv test at 8 months and 12 days it came negetive bu my legs and abit my arms are becaming skiny before i ws a body builder and i never worked on my leg it was big enough before now its becomeing so thin and i have fat only on my chest and stomace im sacerd that if i have HIV/AIDS and Lipodystrophy i dont have fat at the back of my neck tiill now and my face no skin problem only my chin is becoming more i never had skinny legs ever fat in my body is messed up legs are small upe r
Can you get lipoatrophy without being on medication? Could lipoatrophy, and foamy urine be a sign of hiv infection?

starting after the 6th month of exposure I am thinning in the legs, arms, thighs, and face. Possible lipodystrophy (Currently 17th month after exposure)??? I also have had bouts of malaise, dry cough, cold sweats, swollen lymph nodes, and 2 bouts of recent unilateral angular chelitis.

What concerns me is the thinning of my face legs arms butt.
While you wait for the doctor's reply, thought I'd just mention that 1. you don't have HIV, as evidenced by a negative test at 15 weeks, and 2. lipodystrophy isn't associated with HIV, but with the meds used to treat HIV. I also wonder if anyone actually diagnosed you with lipodystrophy. Sometimes our perception of our bodies and what's normal doesn't mesh with objective reality. As for the weight gain, some people eat more when they're anxious/depressed.
One well-regarded dermo I saw mentioned lipodystrophy or possible connective tissue disorder and thought a biopsy might make things worse. I think others may be recommending a biposy as the only possibility for diagnosing this, but I have not been told what they hope to find, so I am holding off and trying to get more answers from endocrine tests, etc.
The most common symptoms of HIV and AIDS are depression, diarrhea, thrush, weight loss, lipodystrophy, lactic acidosis, sinus infections, fatigue, nausea / vomiting, and burning and tingling of the feet and hands. With your description of your symptoms, they may just be due to isolated cases.

Insulin, heparin, just about any subQ injection can cause lipodystrophy. You need to use lots of injection sites and rotate them on a regular basis. Try not to go back to the same spot for at least a month.
2/ the subcutanous fat at the arms, hands, feet disapear a lot ,all the veins pop up , and I feel numb at the hands
3/ My belly getting bigger every day ,when I sit I can feel my belly push up,I used to have a flat tummy all my life.
4/ I dont feel well all the time, feel like mild flu all the time.

From the biopsy, the presence of fibroblasts (which create scar tissue in healing after inflammation) and histiocytes (like macrophages, which are immune cells) doesn't really fit with lymphoma but does fit with scleroderma. They also talk about blockage in arteries, and how that's not from what occurs in atherosclerosis (with lipids/cholesterol and foam cells).
So, is there cancer in the skin of the leg? Apparently not. Is there cancer in the stomach?

The very night after I took the PEP I had night sweats and within 24 hours on Tuesday my lymph nodes in my neck became swollen and sore. I had a metallic and rough taste in my tongue for most of Wednesday and today. I had a hollow sensation under my cheek bones last night, my face looks a bit thinner and body fatter. Can fat redistribution take place so soon after PEP starts?
I read that only HIV was found to be responsible for lunula recession.Worst of all I suffer lipodystrophy and I read on a forum that not only hıv drugs but hiv itself can cause body shape changes.I read the complaints of poz people who are not taking treatment.What do you think? What can I do? Are there any tests I sould get? Please help!

In the past recent months I have applied more that occasionally applied a cream for cellulite treatment over my face, although it was not intended for that use. I thought that maybe it would help have a thinner appearance faster if I did so. And to work, it did work. The problem is that it never stopped working , and I am now stuck with a face too thin that doesn't seem able to retain fat.
Honestly it looks like I have lipodystrophy of the face, similar to what HIV meds cause. My temples, cheeks (below the zygoma) and undereyes have gone concave. My zygomatic arch has become very prominent.
I have read that Rhabdomylosis is common with MDMA. That is the only answer that I can come up with here. Possible my muscles of mastication atrophied, but this doesnt really make sense either because it looks like I have lost fat from all over my face, much more like lipodystrophy.
I have a lymphnode in my right groin area from that long ago that has never disappeared..and I also have lost around 14 pounds in the last 6 months mostly in my face and legs ...and also developed quite a few eye floaters in the last 4 months that seemed to have appeared when I started to worry of the possibility of HIV..the back of my tongue also has a white coating which gives me bad breath and I don't know if this is thrush or just a bacterial build up..
