This weekend was horrible, I had two reaction to the water, on friday it was with rain, and had to give me 2 shoots of Epipen, and than I was better but shaking badly from the Epipen, and yesturday just by sweat I did a reaction and again the Epipen but just once, and I didnt even went to the hospital after, his that dangerous if I dont go???? And his it dangerous I have to many shoots?????

Hello I have severe reactions from insect stings especially bee stings. Its so bad that 1 or 2 stings will put me into anaphylactic shock. I have over 5000+ PVC's a day and the docs say it is a supposed benign condition. (which I do not believe). My wife has never had a pvc or palpitations. Anyways, I have to carry around a epipen everywhere I go. Last year I was working in my back yard and was stung twice, once in the face under the eye and once in my arm.

m also allergic to several medications (antibiotics) and my doctor said I might need an epipen when I take them to keep me alive until I get to a hospital. Just about all antibiotics close my throat. But I thought epipens contained epiphenephrine, and was told by a friend that it's bad for those with a heart arrhythmia. I was rushed to emergency, given benedryl and sent home 4 hours later. I got an Epipen for I was told, although rare, that I could have a secondary reaction within the next week. Sure enough November 5 I had a second reaction (bi-phasic reaction). I was given the epipen by my mother for I passed out and couldn't give it myself. Back to the hospital.

They increased the interval to two weeks and increased my dose more slowly than usual, so it took me longer to get to my maintenance dose. If a patient reaches their maintenance dose, but falls behind, they can go in every week to catch up and reach their maintenance dose again. They won't let me go in every week to catch up, I have to wait two weeks between shots. It's been 4 years and I haven't had another bad reaction.

I tried it a maybe twice, got a itchy/irritated throat. Even just swishing it around my mouth in a diluted dose produced a reaction. My question, how common is this? Why is it soy milk/soy shakes cause this? FYI my other food reactions in the past are similar (itchy throat, swollen lips) to carrots and apples.

At the first suggestion of throat swelling take small sips of this antihistamine. Then drink a full dose. This has always controlled the swelling for me, but in my case I have eaten something that I am allergic to and the reaction starts in the throat. For you, the throat swelling seems to be part of a systemic reaction. In any case the liquid Benadryl is worth a try.

I am very allergic to bee and wasp stings to the point that I can die from a sting within about 1/2 hour or so. As a result I am suppose to carry an EpiPen with me at all times ( especially since there are a lot of wasps and bees around my home ). But despite this the couple of times I have been stung I have never been able to give myself the much needed shot. And to make matter worse I always have 2 reactions to each sting.

The runt of the litter is named Jr. he is the smallest of them all a 5 yr old kid can hold him in the palm of their hand and not have a problem. This happened a week ago with Trimix and a couple of months ago after my initial appointment with my urologist. The 1st dose was 20 units. I started looking for ERs that took my insurance at 4 hours and as I was doing that it went down. Last week was 15 units. I actually went to the ER but it went down while I was waiting so I left. That was a 4.5 hour erection. Last night I took 10 units.

You may need an Epipen if it becomes more severe but in the meantime see a physician and buy some Benadryl.

I have carried an epipen for the last 11 years for my son and Thank God we have not had to use it. But I was wondering if anyone did have an experience like this and had to use an epipen. Or if you have any information on urticaria pigmentosa? ( I know alot about it but I always would like to know more. Please share any information you may have or experiences you incountered.

Yes, I take Rebif as well and I don't have any injection site problems. I just started 3 weeks ago though. But I take it at night right before I go to sleep. If I do it during the day, I get realllllllly sleepy. Hope everything turns out ok!

I was going to name my son after his father. But now I'm thinkin bout it and I don't want his first name like his. I'm going to switch my boys first n middle. We wanted a JR. I was diagnosed with a minor UTI (my first one ever) about 8 days ago. They gave me a three day dose of Macrobid - which I did not consume. I am too afraid. I am allergic to the cillins (anaphylaxis), and have had a horrible reaction to quinones. Every time I thought about putting that little Macrobid in my mouth, I would start to panic. The following day, without the Macrobid, my symptoms were much improved. The day after that - even better.
