Avatar f tn Hi, so were you using it for painful spasms or urinary urgency and incontinence. I hope you don't mind me asking. It is very very expensive here, because it's not approved on our drug lists it cost me $65 for a packet but I would pay $1000 for something to help me at the moment (if I had the money)... I just want to fix the burning feeling I have and the spasms.. oh and the incontinence would be a bonus too but that is not my major issue, well not this week anyway.
739070 tn?1338603402 HI All, I received this update on one of the medical sites I use and thought there might be some interest. Botox has been used off-label for urinary incontinence but it is FDA approved which may help those whose insurance won't pay for off-label use of drugs. The article is shown below: FDA NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release: August 25, 2011 Media Inquiries: Jeffrey Ventura, 301-796-2807, jeffrey.
Avatar f tn I'm not sure how to describe what I'm feeling or even if it's real or imagined from nervousness. My left side only...leg from about knee down, not feet and my left lower arm/hand feels "weird"...mostly at night when I get in bed and lay to watch t.v. I think my left hand feels weird when I'm typing, not fingers. I have no "pain" , numbness, tingling...just a weird, mild feeling. Sometimes a small shakiness.
664777 tn?1231981676 Chiari in a mild form can also produce symptoms that a larger herniation creates....sometimes the larger herniations do not produce symptoms for years! Chiari 0 is a relativly a newer term...there is no herniation...but if u have copies of ur MRI u can see the crowding....there r areas inside that should have spaces btwn...the crowding causes the CF not to flow as it should and causes headaches and other chiari symptoms.....
Avatar m tn In a study of 226 spayed female dogs, a greater percentage of dogs treated with Incurin improved compared to dogs treated with placebo. 5509293 tn?1428531475 Does it make sense for a neurologist to order a whole set of mris with and w/o contrast after hearing a report of one episode of urinary incontinence and several days of frequency? I have only had a uti analysis to check for UTI but no exam by either primary doc or neurologist. Why go straight to mris? And could this be related to kidneys? Because the MRI dye can impact kidneys adversely. All of this is in the context of previous mris to check out parethesias which didn't lead to a dx.
Avatar n tn My doctor said that this may be causing some of the incontinence. Anyways...She did a urinalysis and some blood work to check me for lupus and diabetes and all came back normal except the urinalysis. It showed microscopic blood. She put me on antibiotics and gave me enablex and detrol (neither which have worked). I went back in for a recheck and the repeat urinalysis was exactly the same as before.
Avatar f tn Ever since the Ureteroscopy I have had pretty bad stress urinary incontinence. Is this a normal side effect of either procedure?? Is this a permanent side effect?? Is there anything non surgical I can do to help the incontinence? I've been doing Kegel exercises religiously since October with no results. It's been 6 months of urinary incontinence.

Avatar n tn stress, urge, overflow and mixed incontinence. This link may be helpful: http://www.urologychannel.com/incontinence/index.shtml It would be best to have this evaluated by your urologist to reach a diagnosis. Take care and regards.
Avatar n tn d like to help, but the problem is that you may not know any of the possible causes that docs have already tested for and ruled out. There can be a LOT of different causes for fecal and urinary incontinence, and all of the tests need to be done and medications tried before you start to think about surgery. Do you know all of the tests he's had? Has any disease been diagnosed that could result in the fecal issues such as pancreatic problems, celiac disease, inflammatory bowel issues, or???

Avatar n tn I am hoping to find a reason for my daughter's fecal/urinary incontinence. She wets/soils herself several times in a day, and through the night. She has had several medical tests to rule out a physical cause, including a spinal MRI. I know mentally she is capable of using the toilet, and as her mom, I feel there is cause, possibly dietary, that we can manage if only we could find it.
378497 tn?1232143585 40, lol) who has had kids) A high spinal cord lesion (above T6) can cause a person to demonstrate symptoms of urinary frequency, urgency, and urge incontinence but will be unable to empty his or her bladder completely. This occurs because the urinary bladder and the sphincter are both overactive, a condition termed detrusor sphincter dyssynergia with detrusor hyperreflexia (DSD-DH). Avatar m tn I'm suffering from Urinary Incontinence. I'm 40 year old male. I all ready have an enlarged prostate and had that for many years, but recently I've been dealing with incontinence. I pretty much drip after every time I urinate and it may last for a half hour to hour after urinating. I had a Cystoscopy and a Urodynamic and they didn't find anything wrong with the bladder. My problem seems to be getting worse. I was on medication but it doesn't seem to help.
