Avatar m tn I read in Prevention magazine that coughing can be controlled by eating dark chocolate. I bought a bar of it and broke off a square and ate it every time I felt like coughing after eating. It cleared up after a week of doing this.

Avatar n tn I am a student at San Francisco State university and I am creating a magazine for teen girls with Type 1 Diabetes for my senior thesis project. My sister was diagnosed when she was 5 and now that she's 13, things are getting more difficult. I decided that a magazine aimed specifically at teen girls with diabetes might be helpful. It is going to be almost like a fashion magazine covering issues like eating disorders to politics but in a way that is interesting and accessable.
Avatar f tn I will have to take a looksee! Thanks, Peek!
Avatar f tn Hi, I have not worked out in 2 months. I use to workout about 4 to 5 times a week, moderately lifting weights. Since I stopped, at first I was slightly tired but for the past few weeks I feel exhausted. At first I thought it was something else but now I think it's not working out. Has anyone else experienced something like this where you feel light headed and get headaches and are it's constantly tired.
666089 tn?1260520261 With my last son it NEVER went away. I think it's supposed to go away at about 4 months but everyone is different and some women have it longer or shorter periods of time and some women don't have any at all. It all just depends. There are things you can do to help it though. Eating saltine crackers in the morning before getting out of bed is a good one. I can't remember all the things that are said to work. I can't find my magazine that talks about that either.
1975675 tn?1333316567 Light reading (magazine/easy book), change for parking/vending machines, camera, cell phone charger, makeup (for all those pictures/people visiting), I've heard bring your own bath towels bc hospital ones can be small and scratchy, slippers/non-slip socks for walking around, nursing bra & nursing pads, big comfy undies you don't care about, jumbo size heavy flow pads... I'm trying to think what else was on different lists I've seen.
Avatar m tn There are a number of possibilities: Caffeine intake Nerves/stress Diet Lack of exercise It is always helpful to do something "mindless" before bed like read a magazine or listen to music; anything that's not stimulating. Don't drink any more caffeine than your body can tolerate, especially past lunch time. I personally cannot get quality sleep if I have more than one small cup in the mornings. Make sure you're not eating heavy meals or sugary foods before bed.
Avatar f tn lasers, light-emitting diodes, fluorescent lamps, dichroic lamps or very bright, full-spectrum light—by a so-called light box, which would be the best for gynecological cancer ?
Avatar f tn The movements kind of depend on you, too. Such as what you're eating, how you are exercising, if you are walking a lot. I read in a magazine that the doctor gave me that the babies are asleep 98% of the time in the womb so it might just be lazy and asleep! If you are concerned though, call the doctor.
Avatar f tn I read in a preggo magazine that you shouldn't do the gel due to the ultraviolet light and how easy it is to get skin spots. It also said the toxins of the gel can seep into your nail bed and toxin the baby...not sure about that but the skin spots makes sense.
Avatar m tn Beginning last week, I have been super light headed if I go too long without eating. I have even had a car wreck due to this. Thank goodness. I believe this is due to me finally being cleared to run. I think just eating more I should be ok. It still is scary. Anyone else have this symptom?
8653699 tn?1409720132 When I don't eat, I get so light headed, feel so sick, so I make food and I can't keep it down. Have no appetite. Idk what to do.

Avatar f tn s recommended to eat about 8 oz of fish per week, but not shark, mackeral, albacore tuna, and a few others that contain high levels of mercury. Salmon, light chunk tuna, shrimp, talapia are just a few that can be eaten during pregnancy. Soft cheeses, like brie or the queso fresco, and blue-veined/moldy cheeses, like some blue cheeses, aren't recommended for consumption. Stick with aged or hard cheeses, such as swiss, muenster, cheddar, etc. Hope this helps.
Avatar f tn Is it normal to crave pickles like crazy??? I'm scared I'm eating too many.
195469 tn?1388322888 There was a very interesting article in MSQR Magazine this month. I thought some of you would like to read some of the information stated in the article, to hopefully get a better understanding of Optic Neuritis when it deals with Multiple Sclerosis or other disorders. Women are twice as likely to develop O.N. as men. It occurs more often within the Caucasian population. Optic Neuritis IS a demyelination process. However, MS is not the only cause of O.N..
Avatar n tn I often feel nauseted after breakfast - I eat light, yogurt or scrambled eggs. The nausea lasts for an hour or so. I feel fine until I eat so frequently postpone eating, to get the most out of the morning. I've had gall bladder test and am currently on a blood pressure raising med as I have low bp - but it's not helping either I am 66, active.
Avatar m tn I think the more important question is why are you getting light headed to begin with!? Maybe try eating something or eating something with sugar and see if that helps...
492936 tn?1244651570 It is basically a balanced diet eating good fats and such. The most interesting thing to me was about the whole milk. Apparently hormones are in milk. Estrogen is in the fat - testosterone in the skim part. Drinking skim instead of whole gives you more testosterone and we women need estrogen for a healthy pregnancy - that is why you should eat whole milk, regular ice cream etc. Other than the milk part I didn't get much from it.
