eating

Avatar f tn what u ladies eating since u started getting pregnany, i want to make healthy choices this pregnancy! any suggestions?
Avatar f tn I think that eating healthy is extremely important right now. Eating whatever you want might get you a healthy baby at birth, but what about your child's growth and development for the rest of their life? I was recommended a book prior to being pregnant called feeding baby green. It explains why good nutrition is important for fetal development.
Avatar f tn Healthy eating & exercise! Don't forget the prenatals too.
Avatar f tn Ironically, being sedentry and lazy actually makes you feel lethargic while working out gives you more energy, so sometimes all you have to do is force yourself to work out when you feel tired and it will wake you up, give you a great boost of feel good endorphins and you'll feel energized. When working out doesn't make you feel more energized, take it as a cue from your body that something is up (your body might be fighting a cold or infection) and get some rest instead.
Avatar f tn I'm 22 years old and 8+1 weeks. I've noticed a big difference in energy with taking my daily showers at night, going to bed an hour early and giving myself an extra 30 minutes in the morning. Also eating foods high in protein helps me. Hope thus can help you!
10977026 tn?1414365303 I was the same. My son was 13 months old when I got pregnant with baby #2. My midwife said my cravings are just because my body needs instant energy. Because you probably can't sleep whenever you want this time as you have another baby. I am almost 37 weeks and I still have cravings for junk. My midwife told me to just give in sometimes. Your body really needs the energy. Especially in my case as I was still breastfeeding while pregnant up until 1 month ago!
Avatar f tn pre pregnancy i was a workoutaholic. i worked out 5-7 days a week for 1-2 hours a day. i'd been like that since i was in high school. my swim coach made us workout and practice 6 days a week for 4-5 hours a day (needless to say i was in awesome shape then). but since having my twin boys i have zero energy. i know i need to work out. i WANT to work out but i just don't have the energy. i do watch what i eat. i don't eat nearly as much as i did when i was pregnant and i eat healthy.
Avatar f tn Another possibility is you are not burning enough of the calories that you are eating. You may be burning just enough to STAY at the weight you are now. The key is to exercise enough to burn the amount of calories you are eating, or at least a good portion of them. For example, if you are eating 1400 calories per day, you should be exercising enough to burn at least 500 in order to start seeing a difference. Hope this helps.
Avatar m tn Eat the healthiest diet you can. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains and lean protein. Healthy foods help keep you strong, give you more energy and support your immune system. If you're nauseated, try eating small meals throughout the day. Choose foods that are soothing and easy to digest, such as soups, broths or a plain baked potato. A registered dietitian can be especially helpful if you have weight loss or trouble eating.
Avatar f tn You might want to see what you are eating when you get sleepy. You may be having a sugar crash. If so, slow down on the processed/sugary foods/drinks. I have found that eating a big meal makes me sleepy. Perhaps you can try eating your lunch in two parts. Another idea is standing in the sun, if you have a chance to take a quick walk around the building or even standing outside or near a window. These things may help. I take a probiotic and it seems to help me a little with fatigue...
Avatar m tn there are some advices that will help you with some time... exercising, healthy eating, resting, the amino acid protocol can help you too.

Avatar f tn It supposedly brings you a longer lasting energy boost than anything you could eat/drink. Obviously, eating healthy is a great idea. Like the ladies above stated, you will definitely get more energy in the second trimester.
Avatar f tn As far as diet, what you want to do is change your metabolism in two ways -- exercise and eating healthy foods gives you energy and burns energy, and second, eating foods that don't metabolize quickly into sugar and that you digest well will keep things moving instead of sticking around. Personally, I think your diet is overloaded with dairy, which isn't digested well by most humans, but some people do lose weight eating a lot of it.
Avatar f tn Amypops is right about introducing more carbohydrates, as they are the most important food that gives energy. If you are not eating enough complex, long lasting carbs you won't have enough energy and will get very hungry all the time. Try healthy rice, pastas, grains and breads - these things keep you full for longer compared to meat and vegetables.
10165853 tn?1456333837 After pregnancy you can eat anything less sugary with oats all the time. Oats gives you energy amd helps you loose weight like magic. Like you loose around 2 to 3 pounds a week. My doctor tells yhis to everyone and it worked.
4658567 tn?1364142123 What did you do to get energy in early pregnancy? I was not this tired with my first child but I'm soooo tired with this pregnancy..
Avatar f tn t suited to being vegetarian, as well, another possible problem. But it could be other things -- for example, do you like your job? Do you have plenty of energy for other things but just not for work? And not exercising isn't great for energy -- humans need to move, expending energy gives us more energy.
Avatar f tn Your weight is a balance between the calories you take in and the calories you burn. You will lose weight if you burn off more calories than you take in, and you will gain weight if you eat more calories than you burn off.
Avatar n tn That's easy -- once you move out you eat as you like. Although organic and healthy can seem expensive, it isn't really because you stop eating things that are also expensive but unhealthy, such as potato chips and soft drinks. If you have a food coop nearby you can volunteer to get a discount. And when you're young you don't expect to have a lot of excess money anyway, so it's easier to spend most of it on food.

2020005 tn?1628125976 I can do great exercising, I really push myself to get it done, my down fall is seriously eating healthy. I can eat healthy all day long, then at the end of the day cave completely. I can't let myself ignore my hunger breastfeeding or my supply will completely diminish. I've been eating a good breakfast, good lunch, a snack between lunch and dinner, and then dinner, and a snack later on. I'm having SUCH a hard time eating healthily.
4965377 tn?1368754511 It may be worth talking to your doctor or a nutritionist. There are valuable vitamins, minerals and nutrients found in each of the food catergories that are important for a growing baby. They can help you substitute nutritious foods in place of the ones you don't want to eat for you to get enough nutrition.
Avatar n tn Any body eating healthy?! Am 27s and 1d and I'd like to starting healthy and exercise.. But I don't now if its a good idea.. Any advice?!

Avatar f tn Eating healthy is like the hardest thing for me to do right now. I want to devour everything and anything, how can I start and make myself eat more healthy?
Avatar f tn You can ad some cinnamon and put them in the microwave for a min or two, and you have nice healthy porridge.
Avatar f tn Prenatal pills should provide you with a lot of vitamins you need and all that but you should still try to eat something healthy when u can. Also, if you don't drink enough water it can put u into labor. Drink as much water as possible if anything!!
