I read sardines can help add energy, so I tried some - they do help my
energy level (sometimes more noticeable days after
eating them). They live on plankton, are not a big concern for mercury, have omega-3, protein, B12 - but if you have issues with gout be careful because they also have purines.
The wonderful tufted puffins we saw at the beach in Oregon live on sardines (and anchovies).
