You might try asking your doctor to prescribe Combivent/Duoneb. This is an already prepared mixture of Albuterol and Ipratropium. It is available as an inhaler, as well as a nebulizer solution.

I am using Duoneb with nebulizer 5 or 6 times a day. Also I just started Spiriva one time a day. I have started having a very tight feeling in my chest. I feel it is beause the two meds are contraindicated. If this is true, how may I wean from the Duoneb? My family physician has diagnosed me as having COPD. Thank you.
I stopped Advair because of serious choking that threatened my life. I have moderate COPD and am doing well on Duoneb (an nebulizing combination that contains albuterol) and an antihistamine. As for anything else I depend on natural supplements - vitamin B5, mullein extract, and MSM. I breathe more easily now than I have in two years. (Also Advair resulted in adrenal fatigue which I am now recovering from.
As of now the only prescribed medicines I use are nebulized Duoneb or albuterol and nebulized Mucomyst (for congestion). Additionally I take natural anti-inflammatories.
I was also given a three day regiment of azithromicin (zythromax) and Tussionex to control the cough. I was also given a DuoNeb. None of which seemed to work. After checking in with my primary care, i was given a flovent inhaler, to no avail. Following that, i was put on 80mg of prednisone, down to 60, then weaned off.

I am thinking of adding Spiriva inasmuch as Mucomyst has solved the mucus problem.
I use a nebulized albuterol combination (Duoneb) as the only prescription. I no longer use inhaled steroids after developing serious problems. The natural anti-inflammatories are more effective then the steroids and there are no side effects.

The best remedy I have found for chronic bronchitis are large doses of vitamin B5. B5 is a mucus thinner and an anti-inflammatory. There are no side effects. I take other stuff as well and have just added some Chinese herbs (under doctor's advice).
I will have to check that out. I still us a nebulizer with Duoneb. A big help and no side effects that I can see, as long as I keep the mist out of my eyes.
It is a constant problem even just using the Duoneb, and especially if I have to take any antibiotics. I'm, constantly having to take Fluconazole tablets after a round of antibiotics for candidiasis under my breasts and in my mouth. I always rinse my mouth after any inhalers or the spriva handihaler either with water or mouthwash. Usually both. I also use Clotrimazole 10 mg troche up to 5 times daily for the thrush in my mouth.
I was also put on prednisone again because of how well it worked with the pneumonia and was having very bad breathing troubles, and was also prescribed duoneb, a nebulizer solution that I guess is a combination of incruse and albuterol. She also switched me to breo and incruse, rather than the advair. I am now around 265 lbs.
Over the past weeks I've worked my way down to being on 5mg of the prednisone a day, almost done with it.

Also, because of the albuterol and Duoneb that you might be using with an inhaler or nebulizer, this causes thrush, a fungal ailment, that starts in the mouth but can extend to the sinuses and lungs. Stay away from sugar, bread, and carbohydrates in general. These are foods for fungus that causes mucus.

I know I am being a pain in the *** but, just to be clear, is it true that HIV virus cannot survive outside human body- thus not in the solutions? (becase I heard the virus, it needs protein in order to survive)
The fact that I do not know for sure the test kit and the solution are in any ways 'virus-free,' I am getting this irrational fears that the developer solution might have been contaminated with HIV.
Count me in. I've also suffered with this ridiculous problem since I was 19. I'm now 28 & have had all the tests. Everything checks out fine, but the symptoms stay the same. Alcohol is the trigger for me. There are days when I sense some tenderness without alcohol, but not the burning pain. Now there are weeks when I'm fine, then weeks when I'm not. The method of ejaculation makes no difference.
