I started taking Doryx 250 mg as prescribed by me derm around oct 16...the first week was fine but then I noticed the 2nd week I was losing double the amount of hair in the shower. These weren't even new hairs, but complete long strands were falling off and i've never experience that before. I nearly had a heart attack! I've currently been off the medication for almost a month now and the im still losing more hair than I used to.

I'm experiencing the same problem. had very thick coarse and pretty hair. Now it's becoming thin stringy and nappy. I am freaking out big time and really sad. I'm 22 years old and my dermatologist has had me on this drug for a couple years and at first this did not happen, now it comes out in clumps and I shed everywhere.

Pain medications have numerous side effects and those who do take pain meds on a regular basis do usually have some kind of depression due to the fact that they do have chronic pain but as far as the meds causing depression or bipolar no I do not believe so.

You should finish the course even if your skin is better after 6 weeks to avoid the problem returning. However, if side effects are bothersome speak to your doctor. I am on week one treating type A and feeling really bad side effects. I feel almost ready to do something drastic. I called the psychologist at the clinic and she said that the side effects are worse in the first week. Is this true? If its not the Rebif, it could very well be that you are reacting to your own situation (situational depression) or to the physical effects of the disease (chemical depression). It is well documented that depression in MS patients is very common, and it can be caused by the disease itself or the effect of knowing you have this MiSerable disease. I hope that makes sense.

I have suffered through the fever, the body aches, let me make that severe muscle pains, abdominal pains, and the list goes on. The one side effect that is really worrying me is the depression. I have never been so depressed in my life. In fact I have never been what I would call depressed. I've have some really hard times but I've always been able to push through. I have been on Sovaldi, Olysio and Riboviron for 4 weeks. I am finding that I feel very poorly with a laundry list of noxious symptoms. I feel very alone since my docs said that the side effect profile would be very tolerable. Many years ago I was on interferon and riboviron but could not tolerate the tx. I don't know if it is the roboviron that is causing the side effects. At this point I am pretty much bed-ridden. Is there anyone out there with a similar experience?

One is more soluble in water. But after hours on line I cannot tell you which has fewer side effects. It seems they are equally capable of treating all bacteria that are susceptible to them.

Hi there! Well, I've been on Effexor for over ten years. Started at a very low dose and I am at 150 mg for a long time now. So, I can't say if I remember all the side effects I had. But I will say that I definitely got sick to my stomach if I didn't eat immediately before taking it. This went away after a week or so as my body adjusted to the medication. I believe that the jitters and anxious feeling is all part of your anxiety.

Doing so can cause major withdrawals and horrible side effects. I have a link that tells you all about seroquel. I do not reccomend you read it, as it will only scare you off it. do all of these crappy (literally) side effects EVER fade??? ive only been on the combined treatment for a month now....it just seems to b getting worse...the vomitting, crapping, fatigue,body aches, head aches, raw throat and mouth....i just hate to ask my docs for all kinds of meds....just wondering if it gets better closer to the one year marker????

For me, to have some relief from the severe depression made the side effects more than bearable, they are nothing in comparison.

As far as the Effexor side effects go, the first week or two it really mellows you out and yes, you do sleep a little more, at least it affected me that way. I am now on 75 milgrams and after a couple of weeks you settle into your old routine. Effexor has worked great for me, especially with the racing thoughts and anxiety.

I have Multiple Sclerosis and use Avonex. My side effects do Not include Depression or Headaches. They include Fever-like symptoms, Muscle aches/pains, and Fatigue. All at a High level. I've come to realize in time, that the Only thing that helps Me is Medicine. Other Medicine that I take like : Hydrocodone, Alprazolam, and Imipramine. Without Overdosing of course, i've felt that these are all that helps.

It all depends on the person, unfortunately. My experience won't be yours. Yours won't be mine. There are some generalizations that mean most people, but remember, you're not most people, only you. Prozac is a good one to try because it's one of the easiest to stop taking. No way to say, though, if it will work or not. Side effects differ greatly among different people.

Tramadol has a bundle of side effects including addiction....hard to withdraw from due to their narcotic and anti-depressent qualities...i have heard people complain of alot of side effects while taking them...i guess i am confused but i thought u had an addiction to norco?

I know how low these are but I have never been able to tolerate any meds at higher doses without massive side effects. I did do pretty well on Wellbutrin xl and could do 300mg but I can't afford it anymore and the generic doesn't work.
