I had a hysterectomy in October 2009, I was put on the vivelle-dot patch. I'm on the lowest dose (0.05mg). I change the patch twice a week.
I had my yearly mamogram (which has always been normal). I picked up the report today and it says:
Findings: Dense and hetergenous breast parenchyma is again observed with minor asymmetry.

I went for my post op check up and Dr, explained to me for a long time abou bio identical hormone replacemnet, he sold me on it, right now Im using Vivelle dot its a really small patch you put on either your belly or hip.
I had a complete hysterectomy 5 1/2 years ago at the age of 35 for a borderline serous tumor in one of my ovaries. I have been on the vivelle dot .1mg patch for several years with no problems. Lately, I have been having symptoms of low estrogen like hot flashes. Unfortunately, my gyn oncologist has retired so I have been seeing my regular ob for my yearly follow up.
must be hormonal related which can be frustrating but can be fixed..I am personally a fan of the vivelle dot..its a patch used 2 x per week its helped me alot..its also suposed to be good for preventing bone density loss...I find your situation intersting..let me know how it goes...best wishes and happy new year !!!
Hi I don't know how much this will help but I am coming from having hormone replacement to trying to get off of it and it's horrible. I am calling my doctor in the morning to start going back up. I had a hysterectomy when I was 26 and have been on premerin all these years. DO NOT get on premerin not matter what. It is a terrible drug. It worked for me for years but for other reasons I will not take it and nobody should. I am on Vivelle Dot.
I won't say that you are too young for breast cancer BUT it would certainly be a one in a million chance so let's put that aside. May I ask what "Grey's Anatomy" has to do with you thinking that you might have Breast Cancer. It's a TV Show ... !! Now to your little black "dot" .. this isn't a symptom of Breast Cancer. Some changes in moles on parts of the body can be a symptom of skin cancer.
t believe your problem has anything to do with Breast Cancer and we here are primarily dedicated to Breast Cancer issues. I notice that even you have described this as a cyst and I'm sure that your own Physician can give you the best advice at this point. I'm almost 60 years old and have been experiencing severe hot flashes for years. A couple years ago I was put on 0.05mg Vivelle-dot patches. I'm still having the flashes. My forehead, especially, sweats a lot wetting my bangs completely! Would going on a higher dose of Vivelle stop the hot flashes? I want to keep on bioidentical-type remedies and wondered if something else included/instead of would do the trick. I'd greatly appreciate help!
Have you ever thought about being BRCA tested to see if you carry the Breast Cancer gene? My mother and grandmother both died of breast cancer and were carriers. My sister and I were also tested. My sister tested positive and I negative. My sister already had a double masectomy at age 29. It is worth looking into since you have a strong family history. Most insurance companies will pay for it.
Richard: a lump by her nipple does not concern me much. Swelling of the breast tissue before giving birth may be the cause. Pretty sure it is not a puppy in that location. At 2 years I would not worry much about breast cancer either. A veterinarian would have to see the spot to be sure. continue to watch her carefully and I hope her delivery is without problems.
My gynecologist (my ex-gyn since my surgery) prescribed the highest dose Vivelle-Dot patch and it was a dismal failure. The only benefit was a well lubricated vagina yet I still had absolutely no desire for sex (still don't though). I swear every little bit of the patch's estrogen was going straight to my vagina and nowhere else!!
Hi, I'm 16 years old, and I have this red dot-rash on my left breast. It doesn't itch, and there's nothing abnormal about the breast at all, it's just there. I believe I've had it since I was around 9 or 10 years old, but I never really paid any attention to it. And now it kind of worries me...Does anyone have any advice to help me?
