Avatar n tn I am really thinking that trilipix raises blood sugar levels....I have never had a sugar level problem, than my primary care doc put me on trilipix. I took it for six months ... went in for my routine blood work and he says my sugar was up and I was now had pre diabetes with my a1c test being 6.1 The only change I have made Is the Trilipix...I don't think it is a coincedence! I quit taking it...not just because of that but I was also having terrible muscle spasms....
Avatar m tn I have taken benzo's for the better part of 35 years. They have helped me lead a more normal life then I could have without them. I usually take 1/2mg of xanax a day, sometimes 1/4mg more. I hardly ever had the need to take more. Antidepressants however had the greatest impact on anxiety for me and the combination is what did the best for me. I am still sometimes amazed how well these meds work and don't even want to think about where I'd have been had I not had them.
Avatar f tn Have you been started on a statin? Most people with metabolic syndrome, especially if they have already been diagnosed with coronary artery disease, should be recommended to take one.
Avatar f tn Nothing is rated A. I work in a pharmacy. Relax!
Avatar f tn I take the cvs brand and they work great for me. They have everything the expensive brands have in them.
Avatar f tn I just started taking baclofen as well. It is considered a generic drug, I take 180 a month, and it only costs $10.
Avatar f tn your probably feeling the withdrawals because you have lowered your dose of oxycodone the active ingredient in both pills...you build up a tolerance to this stuff pritty fast and when you reduce dose your body/brain notices the difference...have you ever thought of getting off them???
1454858 tn?1306784378 I did live on Phenergan though for 6-7 months of my pregnancy, taking it once or twice a day. Zofran itself is given a Class rating of a B, and since this is the generic, it sound be the same. It's perfectly safe to take. Many women swear by it and how much it helped them. I just didn't notice anything personally. If you need it, use it.
Avatar m tn The rest of the aota is normal size. The doctor has scheduled a stress test for me. Is this recommended? I have read that exercise is recommended but heavy lifting is prohibited because of the stress it places on the aorta. My work includes heavy lifting periodically throughout the day of 60-80 lbs. Is this considered heavy lifting? I have been on Lisinopril (bp) for 5 years and Trilipix and Simvastatin (cholesterol) for the last 3-4 years.
Avatar m tn Pravastatin Sodium 40mg. once a day and Alprazolam 1mg. twice a day. I have been to my doctor and have told him about it and he just says, its anxiety. Does anyone know what might be causing this ?? I am tired of hearing that it is anxiety ! Please help !!!!!!!!!!!
315318 tn?1353251800 Your question raised my curiosity and after a short research, my understanding is that it is not the fenofibrate but the rosuvastatin (Crestor) the one that can give you this effect. See this: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20507274 Also it seems that insulin sensitivity gets better as the endothelial functions gets better and this is one of the effects of the statins, see this: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.
455075 tn?1223052517 By any chance did you switch from brand name synthroid to a generic? Sometimes the levels of thyroid hormones in generic just aren't as consistent as they should be. However, it just might be your body adjusting to all the changes - I had a TT in May '06 and had perfectly good levels until my 3 month followup, when I went hypo and needed a dosage increase. I'd call you doctor and tell them your symptoms and ask to have your thyroid levels tested.
Avatar m tn s had problems with holding her urine. At times it will just come out. She was put on a med. from the Vet. Does anyone know of a generic brand or natural one that will do the same. I can't keep going back paying office visits everytime she needs a new med.
Avatar n tn 3 and I have a Goiter but no known thyroid problem. I have acne. Anyone know what could be causing my heartburn to be so severe?
Avatar f tn it is a wrong name for drugs just to make more money for the first drug maker who did the drug generic is the same drug made from another drug maker, this is why the name generic is very wrong, generic sounds like the drug is different but only drug maker is different.
Avatar f tn Oh yes- forgot to add I am on only name brand synthyroid and cytomel. My endo will not write prescription for generics, says they vary too much - just as you experienced. Thank you.
Avatar f tn I certainly noticed a huge difference in Effexor and the generic form. When I was withdrawing I did have to go onto the generic as it comes in tablet form which I could then cut up. Hope you can get the real Effexor, and I am glad you are feeling so much better on it. It would be nice if you could get your meds free too. Take care.
Avatar f tn If you do have an active lesion, the risk is greatly increased so a C section is recommended. acyclovir and valtrex are both approved for use during pregnancy. their safety is well established and not an issue. the dose for acyclovir for the last month of pregnancy is 400mg 3x/day as you already know. acyclovir is not the cheaper generic form of valtrex.
Avatar m tn It usually begins as a severe, sudden headache and may occur daily for months, alternating with periods without headaches. Although it is uncommon to have a mixed type of primary headache. Treatment does not cure cluster headaches but to relieve symptoms. Avoidance of triggers and prescription medications may provide relief. Biofeedback therapy may also help. Take care and best regards.
Avatar n tn Does anyone have a referral for an Endometriosis specialist in the Denver area? Or can someone point me to a website where I can find this information? Thanks.
Avatar f tn Does anyone know if the generic Harvoni is available in India or Thailand yet as I was told that it would be made available in the last quarter of the year, Im no Einstein but this is the last quarter! Does have any info I can glean some hope from? Frustrated at sweats, no energy, difficulty in thinking and conversing, did i mention no energy, being treated like a second class citizen or at least the stigma of having it! Once I beat hep c, it will just be the Parkinsons to deal with.....
Avatar f tn Ever since I've been getting a bigger stomach (I'm currently 33 weeks) I have just been feeling so ugly and "unsexy". I don't even feel beautiful anymore; no matter what cloths I wear, makeup etc. My boyfriend likes to watch action movies. In action R rated movies theres always sex and nudity. Of course he watches it. He always tells me it's not real etc but I just cant help getting depressed when that stuff comes on.
Avatar f tn It would be greatly appreciated. Also I want to encourage those who have had to struggle in a simular situation. NEVER GIVE UP. EVERY NO IS A ONE STEP CLOSER TO A YES! You are not alone. We know all the sadness and fears your struggling with. Much love.

Avatar n tn How aoften does microcalifications found in your breast result in some form of breat cancer once the biopsies are done and reviewed? This discussion is related to Microcalcifications.
Avatar m tn There are potential concerns about interactions between these two medications but the best thing to do is to discuss this with your psychiatrist or pharmacist. You could also go to the medication websites themselves and look under "drug interactions" and discuss that specific information with your psychiatrist. They would have a physician's only database where they would be able to find detailed information on this of course.
Avatar f tn I you usually never drink but drank during December, your liver might have drastically over reacted to that as well. And you are right in that if you have a gluten intolerance/Celiacs, then eating gluten can cause a flare up of sorts, somewhere in your body. Whichever it was, it sounds like you have some good doctors by your side. Good luck and best wishes!
