The adverse effects experienced are similar to those with use of adenosine. While adverse effects are less frequent with dipyridamole (47% of patients), they tend to be more serious than those associated with adenosine. The most common adverse effects of dipyridamole are chest pain (19%), headache (12%), and hypotension (4.6%). In addition, 12% of patients require aminophylline for reversal of adverse effects.
Persantine is dipyridamole, but you will have to get extended release tablets as the two asprin and dipyridamole should not be taken together. Don’t change the medications without discussing with your doctor. So, consult him and then decide.

While you are taking Aggrenox (aspirin/dipyridamole), you should avoid taking over-the-counter pain medicine, especially any other products containing aspirin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
Also, Avoid alcohol, or drink a minimal amount, as the combination of Aggrenox and alcohol could cause stomach bleeding.

MY 6 YR OLD SON had a round red swollen area on his right forearm and after applying fudic bnf cream and teczim syrup for one week , the area developed into a red swollen lump around the size of around 15 mm x 10 mm and the size of the lump after 4 weeks is not decreasing in size and is also not increasing in size but is inflammed red and warm to the touch. The lump is now protruding outside a bit as time is progressing which seems to me .
I suffered a mild stroke (blood clot) Consultant prescribed Clopidogrel but cannot tolerate side effects. Then consultant prescribed Dipyridamole. I cannot tolerate this either. Severe headache, vomiting and diarrhoea. Has anybody got a different medication they are on?

ECG last month showed SVES, RBBB. This week he has stress test with dipyridamole protocol, and injection of thallium-201. The result showed "evidence of mild, small to medium size, irreversible perfusion defect in the inferior/inferolateral wall (mid to basal level)." Could you explain what this means? Findings are: Peak stress images revealed hypoperfused infero-septal and apical segment, which showed reversal at rest.
Impression: Findings are consistent with infero-septal and apical reversible ischemia.

Recently, I have been a bit more tired than I usually am, I have these really slight cramps in my lower stomach very similiar to period cramps, but WAY less painful, I experiened a 24-hour headache once and some very dull back and neck aches. I took one test the day I was due, but it was a BNF and another yesterday and the same results. I didn't use first morning's urine, though. About an hour and a half ago, I used the washroom and, once again, when I wiped I saw the same thing.
It should not be used if you are taking anticoagulant medications, including warfarin, aspirin, aspirin-containing products, NSAIDs, or antiplatelet agents (eg, ticlopidine, clopidogrel, dipyridamole). I am not sure of what other potential drug interactions.
I would discuss the use of this drug with your urologist and you should mention it whenever a healthcare professional inquires about the medications you are taking.

I am 29 years old and I have suspect that I have PCOS. I was overweight/obese as a child and teenager until my early 20s. Aged 21 I started getting excess facial/bodily hair and my weight increased to its highest (can't remember what but I was a UK size 18/US size 22). Then aged 22 my periods went from being 5 days long, 3 days heavy 2 light to lasting just 3 days, none particularly heavy.
do you think that there is any mileage in switching from the generic versions to extended release type?? i forgot to say that i do have a Lumie SAD light and utilise this also. UK GP's won't prescribe over those levels despite what has been indicated elsewhere as you rightly say, as there's significant variation on this on the internet within the western world it seems.In the course of my work i've not seen patients being prescribed over these BNF levels.

Also Doctors who prescribe bezos are monitored as to how many people they write scripts for such meds.
