4703993 tn?1379768388 My electrophysiologist is having problems finding the right medication to treat my POTS and IST. I am currently on Midodrene for my blood pressure. For my heart we have tried Atenolol 12.5 (really small dose, but even with 10mg of Midodrene 3x a day my blood pressure would drop too low and the side effects were unbearable) .. so he concluded that I have a sensitivity to beta blockers.

2021358 tn?1328748117 Beacuse I also have heart problems, the neurologist and cardiologist got together and prescribed DIGOXIN. Altho I have not see anything on the INET about the use of digoxin in auto neuropathy, I don't know why not. It made a tremendous difference in my pulse, bp, and even in decreasing stomache nausea and constipation (stomache is also controlled by vagal nerve). I felt almost normal. Digoxin is the only drug I know of on the market which strengthens the vagal nerve.
471161 tn?1317190950 Right before the lupus kicked in in 2007 I started having higher blood pressure and would feel the bla bloops more often. Now, since I was in the hospital in Januray I feel them constantly. I don't know how long the EKG actually runs, it is very fast, but I had three during it the other day. So do you think that is a PVC? I am going to ask my cardio what it is called. An early heart beat sounds simplified. He has also called it arrythmias I think. I had my CT Scan this afternoon.

If so, what does he suggest?
