Avatar m tn I HAVE AN UNRUPTURED 5 MM BRAIN ANEURYSM WHICH APPEARED FOLLOWING A ROUTINE MRA SCAN FOLLOWING OPEN HEAD BRAIN SURGERY TO REMOVE A NON CANCEROUS TUMOUR ABOUT 3 YEARS AGO THE LAST SCAN 15 MONTHS SHOWED NOTHING - MY NEUROSURGEON WANTS ME TO HAVE A DIGITAL SUBTRACTION ANGIOGRAM TO CARRY OUT A MORE DETAILED EVALUATION. HOW DANGEROUS IS THIS TYPE OF SCAN. I KNOW IT HAS IN RISKS IN RELATION TO STROKES ETC., I AM 63 YEARS OF AGE.
Avatar n tn For vascular problem, you will have to get a Digital Subtraction Angiography done. Find out if this procedure is done in you hospital.
Avatar f tn My doc is gone for 2 weeks. I got my mri report and it says"post contrast imaging demonstrates homogeneous enhancement within the subareolar region pertaining to a dilated duct. This enhancement is not readily apparent on digital subtraction imaging." They want a repeat ultrasound and core biopsy. I am 52 and scared!!
Avatar f tn Angiography is a minimally invasive medical test that helps physicians diagnose and treat medical conditions. Angiography uses one of three imaging technologies and, in some cases, a contrast material to produce pictures of major blood vessels throughout the body.
452814 tn?1205766600 You will need to check the blood circulation in the lower limbs. The best method is the DSA (digital subtraction angiography), but I am not sure if it is possible especially when you don't have the insurance.
Avatar f tn I used one it was othe brand and came up the 2 lines one beryyy ligjt .and today i used the clear blue and it say not prregnant. . Wat yall think . Is it to early to uses the clear bluee digital.
Avatar m tn for confirmation he send me to perform a Fluorescein Angiography and also advised me to reduce stress. Well, I did that. In eye clinic that I had my Fluorescein Angiography test, there was another eye specialist who also examined my left eye and he said both the fluorescein photographs and his examination show that my eye is OK and he dose not see any problem.
Avatar m tn Angiography can be with a cathode that takes a vessel route to the heart, and ct scan angiography uses images to diagnose vessel blockage. The new 258 slice ct scan may be better as it images vessels in 3 dimensions as well as the flow of blood. Other than the new technology (more slice scans) with ct the cath is usually considered the best. With a scan there are no tubes, but an IV for injection of anxiety reducing agent, and a cathode is inserted in the arm or agrion into the femur vessel.
189192 tn?1261341628 Jacob will be 6wk tomorrow. Early this afternoon i thought jacob felt a little warm to me so it tried to get his temp from under his arm. he kept squirming so i wasn't able to get it that way so i tried rectally. He kept squirming around so after 4 or 5 tries i gave up and decided i would keep an eye on him. well later that afternoon he projectile vomited all over me. he emptied his stomach and it came through his mouth and nose.
Avatar f tn Rectal is best but personally I can't do that so I use the good ear ones they're like 40$
162784 tn?1227296050 Unlike other digital tests on the market, the First Response Early Result Digital Pregnancy Test uses a proprietary gold technology that is so sensitive it actually detects two different forms of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), the pregnancy hormone, including the variant hormone that better predicts early pregnancy. The sensitivity of FIRST RESPONSE technology makes it possible to detect the presence of just 18 mlU of hCG in urine.
Avatar m tn Agree about the OCT, the first one I ever had back in 2015 immediately revealed the cause of my own visual symptoms. Now I get one every six months at my ophthalmogist's office. The angiography I have done there once a year still uses the dye, or at least still did about a year ago. I don't know how many optometrist offices have an OCT scanner, but mine does and offers them on an optional basis should a patient want one.
Avatar f tn so am currently 4 wks+2 days according to lmp. I took a clear blue digital tuesday morning (9.2.14) with it saying pregnany 1 - 2. I just took another and it still says 1-2. Avatar n tn Excuse my subtraction! He would not test until day 14, that is true, but it breaks out to be 5 day embryo plus 9 days, not 7.
Avatar f tn Is it a digital thermometer? You either aren't reading it right or you aren't placing it right.
Avatar f tn My Grandmother has been detected with a blockage in heart, and its not getting well by the use of medicines. Her Doctor is suggesting Angiography now. Her age is 81 by now. I wanted to take other Doctors opinion about this case.
293157 tn?1285873439 Magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) is different from MRI because MRS uses a continuous band of radio wave frequencies to excite hydrogen atoms in a variety of chemical compounds other than water. These compounds absorb and emit radio energy at characteristic frequencies, or spectra, which can be used to identify them. Generally, a color image is created by assigning a color to each distinctive spectral emission. This comprises the "spectroscopy" part of MRS.
Avatar m tn Was the panoramic machine a digital x-ray or a traditional film x-ray? I'm going to assume it was digital since he just recently installed it. The older film x-rays tend to require more radiation than the newer digital x-ray systems. I will have to look up the exact radiation dosage for the panoramic x-ray but I believe its equivalent to taking 4 of the smaller regular x-rays. A regular digital x-ray is equivalent to about 5-10 mins in the sunlight.
Avatar m tn Hi, your father is having a rhythm disturbance, an arrhythmia and doctors are trying to correct that. This may not be picked up by ECG,2D-echo and angiography. During the EPS, the electrical behavior of the heart that is responsible for controlling your heartbeat is recorded by placing conducting wires. Radiofrequency ablation, RFA, is a treatment that uses electrical energy to destroy tissues in the heart that are causing rhythm disturbances. This should help to restore his rhythm.
Avatar m tn Recently I received digital penetration from another man in a gay bath sauna. That was the only contact, yet the finger fully penetrated and friction and heat were present. I developed a raw feeling in my anus five days later. It seemed to go away the very next day, so I thought, but five days after the feeling of rawness came back. I don't see blisters, but it's hard to check. I know blisters sometimes do not develop in the anus.
Avatar f tn t understand especially with math I am having bad issues with addition and subtraction, I even thought one day that 2 times 2 was 2 and its 4. I see stars sometimes, and I cant concentrate a lot, also when I stand up really fast I get really light headed and dizzy. And it really seems to me that we both have a problem from getting hit in the head or in the face.
Avatar f tn the levels in a blood HCG test are seen sooner that a urine test that is why they test your blood. Drs urine tests are more like the digital tests and newer then what you may find at the store so they are accurate as well.
Avatar m tn I took the kind of test that the doctor office uses and the first one came out positive. I have since taken a few more test of the same brand and then a digital one, which have came back negative..What is going on? I haven't had any symptons except being tired and crankish.. Help is greatly needed.. I am also 22 years old.
Avatar m tn Troponin T and Troponin I are accurate and are only released by cardiac muscle. If elevated, then they usually suggest angiography because there is a very high possibility that MI has occurred. Troponin also remains elevated for up to 14 days. Should you go for Angiography? Given the results of the test, I think the question is really "is it worth the risk not to have angiography".
