HOW DANGEROUS IS THIS TYPE OF SCAN. I KNOW IT HAS IN RISKS IN RELATION TO STROKES ETC., I AM 63 YEARS OF AGE.

Agree about the OCT, the first one I ever had back in 2015 immediately revealed the cause of my own visual symptoms. Now I get one every six months at my ophthalmogist's office. The angiography I have done there once a year still uses the dye, or at least still did about a year ago. I don't know how many optometrist offices have an OCT scanner, but mine does and offers them on an optional basis should a patient want one.
so am currently 4 wks+2 days according to lmp. I took a clear blue digital tuesday morning (9.2.14) with it saying pregnany 1 - 2. I just took another and it still says 1-2. Is this ok or should I be concern 5 that the pregnancy isn't progressing as it should be? Please give me some insight... i have first appt (registration) next week (9.11.14).

Excuse my subtraction! He would not test until day 14, that is true, but it breaks out to be 5 day embryo plus 9 days, not 7.

Was the panoramic machine a digital x-ray or a traditional film x-ray? I'm going to assume it was digital since he just recently installed it. The older film x-rays tend to require more radiation than the newer digital x-ray systems.
I will have to look up the exact radiation dosage for the panoramic x-ray but I believe its equivalent to taking 4 of the smaller regular x-rays.

the levels in a blood HCG test are seen sooner that a urine test that is why they test your blood. Drs urine tests are more like the digital tests and newer then what you may find at the store so they are accurate as well.
I took the kind of test that the doctor office uses and the first one came out positive. I have since taken a few more test of the same brand and then a digital one, which have came back negative..What is going on? I haven't had any symptons except being tired and crankish.. Troponin T and Troponin I are accurate and are only released by cardiac muscle. If elevated, then they usually suggest angiography because there is a very high possibility that MI has occurred. Troponin also remains elevated for up to 14 days. Should you go for Angiography? Given the results of the test, I think the question is really "is it worth the risk not to have angiography".
