angiogram

Avatar f tn I have some kind of distortion to the bottom of my center of vision I did a dilated eye test and oct angiography and all was normal my doctor told me it’s my vitreous that shrinked like a necklace in front of the iris ...could be the case ?
Avatar m tn Optical cohdrence tomography showed flattened pigment epithelial detachment, resolution of neorosensory detachment, scarring in subfoveal choroidal neovascular with membrane appearing more compact and decreasein cystoid macular edema in right eye. Fundus fluorescein angiography done later showed staining of scar with decrease in leakage. He was advised repeat Avastin injection in right eye. On review fundus picture was stable in both eyes.
Avatar n tn Perhaps you can make a visit to the United States for a second opinion at a well known eye center like WIlls Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, Wilmer Eye Hospital in Baltimore or Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami.
Avatar n tn ago now, with my left eye, the straight lines (scale, edge of the wall, road, etc.) appear curved (positive Amsler grid test). Is this a sign of retinal detachment or it is posterior vitreous detachment, alternatively could it be retinal vessel occlusion or any other thing. My doctor suggested to do Fluorescein Angiography, Is it a reliable test method for me? Finally am I in emergency state and what shall I do to slow the development while doing the diagnosis..
Avatar f tn For the last 3 years I’ve had 3 small blind spots in the center of my vision I’ve had many tests done to try and figure out why but nothing ever showed up. Each spot in a tiny oval around 1-2mm in size looking at my phone screen. If they are over a white line or an intersection between two contrasting edges the spots will flicker.
Avatar m tn Therefore, the GS told me he will use eye pressure to gauge progression and increase the number of drops if the eye pressure increases or father has any vision issues. So far, father has not had any vision problems. He does not drive and is always with a caretaker when he leaves home. Questions: 1) With the current treatment, it seems like we are checking eye pressure every 5 months and/or waiting for father to detect vision changes. It is not pro-active. Your thoughts?
Avatar m tn I had seen an eye doctor becuase of vision loss in my left eye, i had my eyes fully diolated, and went through an eye exam. About 4 -5 days they performed the Angiogram, injected the dye into my arm and started to take photos of the eye. they didnt see anything that stood out so i was refered to the eye hospital downtown. About a week later i went down there had a full diolation done, and another eye exam.
Avatar n tn I'm currently trying to research possibilities for the 'flashing' I have been having for the last two years in my left eye only. I'll give you a brief overview of my situation... The camera/torch type flash occurs between 1-3 times a day or every other day in my left eye. It happens at any occasion - eating a meal, watching tv, looking at the laptop etc. This never occurs in my right eye.
275184 tn?1211224813 I went and a Fluorescein Angiography done on both eyes today, because of a spot in my top right central vision of my left eye. The best way to describe the spot is if I see a closed door and look at the black line between the closed door and the door frame, the black line looks normal except for a spot where the white flows over into the black line. There was no leakage in the Fluorescein Angiography, so that is a good thing.
Avatar m tn I sometimes have a semi-transparent stain in the right eye near the fixation point. It looks like a small scintillation scotoma. The stain lasts 5-15 minutes and disappears, but sometimes it repeats a few minutes after the first appearance. The scotoma always appears in the same place. Expansion of the scotoma does not occur, it is always the same size (unlike scotoma during an aura with migraines). In addition, this spot is visible only if I blink. Ophthalmic examinations are clean.
Avatar n tn my husband has a black spot in his left eye. Fluorescent angiography showed multiple hemmorage in his retina. Dr.Wang's (Wilmington, DE) prognosis is - glaucoma and loss of vision. We want to have a second opinion on the diagnosis. Who we can contact to in Wilmington area or Philadelphia.
Avatar m tn Thank you very much for the suggession for CAT Scan instead of angiography. I shall discuss with my Doctor too . It is his suggession only and could be done whenever I want to do. So will also consult other Doctors too. My sister is not a Heart Patient but as she felt some breathlessness, she went for Angiography. All her reports of Heart, Kidney, Lever are NORMAL.She is a Diabetic patient . But she is suffering from soars on her legs and pains when she walks.
Avatar m tn Again LEG not used too much dilution of the eye before it gets to eye. Plus risk of deep vein thrombosis.
Avatar f tn Phosphenes are a normal entoptic phenomena, so is seeing dot, circle upon awakening. Unless something changes or new develops I would work on the anxiety.
Avatar f tn The specialist said she can see the spot but there are no lesions and the bleed is inactive, so her working diagnosis right now is white dot syndrome with retinal hemorrhage and nevus of choroid of the left eye. She wants me to return in a week. I am really confused about what white dot syndrome is? Is there any treatment? Will the vision in my left eye ever return to normal?
Avatar f tn Well, I'm home from having had my CT Angiography of the brain and heart. Now, I just have to wait one week until I go back to the neuro to find out the results of it. The Neuro said my last MRI was the weirdest and unusual MRI of the brain that she had ever seen. The report said something about Vertebral Basilar Insufficiency and something about an enlarged vessel or something. My brainstem has moderate damage (Chronic Gliosis) and it didn't sound like it was damaged from the MS.
Avatar m tn I have a patient who complains of "multiple black dots in one eye". Apparently he's had an OCT test, which didn't show anything - nor did fundoscopy. I was wondering about punctate inner choroiditis but surely that would be visible on fundoscopy and OCT? Could microemboli cause this? - A retinal specialist is not aware of anything that could cause this problem and has referred the patient to another sub-specialist. (Still awaiting the appointment).
Avatar m tn if FFA means fluorscene angiography. Yes if OCT is done or if edema is visible with regular eye instruments.
Avatar n tn some days back he could see a grey smoky cloud moving in his right eye..he went to an eye doctor and after m.r.i and angiography, the doctor said that water is blocked behind the retina..but he did not gave any medicine.he just said that water will dry up autumatically in 4 months.he prescribed only one eye drop calledNEVANAC for pain and vitamins capsule.my father is diabetic and has high blood pressure......my question is that will the water dry up by itself or a surgery will be done.
3156104 tn?1357281195 Hi My Mom 52 yrs has diagnosed PED through oct yesterday,Doc had put her on indomethacin 75mg caps with mefenac eye drops please suggest .....would she resolve the said issue after drug treatment ?
Avatar m tn Also the optholmolist remark that there is no damage to the eye upset me. In 2005 the hospital performed angiography on my right eye and found out right eye vein ous occlusion with macular edema. Thereafter I have been on high BP medication. With blurred vision & pain persisting how can they say that BRVO in R/eye has resolved completely. Can I have a second opinion.
Avatar f tn If you have floaters because of inflammation in the back of the eye (posterior uveitis) then that work up is appropriate. Many of those are not diseases but tests. Ask your MD if you have uveitis. If so you need a work up.
Avatar m tn thanks Dr Oyakawa for the reply. may i ask you to explain a little bit more. You say that specific person would have developed this condition because of their unique nature regardless of whoever the surgeon was, even the best in this field? also would you please answer two more questions, 1- what are the chances of the same condition happens to the other eye if it undergoes cataract surgery (faco!?) ?
Avatar m tn I have an idiopathic area of hypopigmentation on both of my maculas, which he does not think is indicative of a dystrophy. I give you that info just in case it may be relevant. What could be causing the shimmering natural blind spot?
Avatar m tn Hello, I am 30 years old, have high myopia (-14.5 per eye) and had in 2010 an Avastin injection due to Myopic Macular Degeneration on my left eye. Last week while playing basketball I've got hit on the right side of my face, the hit was not the strongest nor hardest (was against a bicep of the opponent, not a bone) but it was unfortunately "perfectly" timed. Immediately after the hit, I noticed a new black spot on my right eye (the part which was hit).
122065 tn?1241385329 Just had an angiography of the eyes with contrast as a followup to the vitreous separation and a cotton wool patch was discovered on the left eye. Health is good - low blood pressure, no diabetes, low cholesterol, etc. Doc assured me it will go away but was concerned with what may have caused it. I am on HRT and he said this could be the culprit. Ae there any symptoms with these patches? That eye is feeling just a bit off.
Avatar m tn for confirmation he send me to perform a Fluorescein Angiography and also advised me to reduce stress. Well, I did that. In eye clinic that I had my Fluorescein Angiography test, there was another eye specialist who also examined my left eye and he said both the fluorescein photographs and his examination show that my eye is OK and he dose not see any problem.
Avatar f tn Doc. I've come to 6 eye doctor in 3 months inc. neuro opt and get my eye dilated a lot of time. Is it dangerous if I get my eyes dilated like this? Because I started to worry my eye will get worse after I get my eyes dilated. Thanks doc.
