I have had uti since 2 years old (kidney reflux) that turned into to major kidney stone problem and I was infected with ESBL ecoli. For the past 2 years I have a fungal infection in my urine. I have had 6 rounds of diflucan to no avail. My urology dr is at a loss. Should I be seeing an infectious disease dr at this point? When I take diflucan I feel better quickly. Once I stop within a few days I feel terrible again. They prescribe diflucan for 14 days. Had it 6 x’s. Always comes back.
All three times I, as well as my female partner have tested negative for all STDs. The urologist said to try diflucan first to see if it is a yeast infection, then if the symptoms persisted, take medication for possible trichomoniasis infection. If that didn't work then he would have to do a visual inspection with a camera scope. I took a test for trichomoniasis (urine NAA test) and that came back negative as well.
I agree that you've gotten good answers here. Color of urine whether dark or light or clear does not give any clue to whether you are pregnant or not but is rather a sign of your state of hydration. You've already taken pregnancy tests and they are negative. You may just be late. Wait another week and see if your period shows up and if not, then retry testing for pregnancy.
After that the doctor checked me out as fine but gave me diflucan. It worked only a little, and here I am 6 months later, and 4 diflucan pills later, its constantly in my underwear making me feel wet all the time, its so uncomfortable and embarressing, I just want help :((((( please soomeone! On May 2nd, I was treated for gonnorhea with a shot of rociphine and 1,000 mg azithromycin. About a week later, I went back to my doctor having burning, itching, and irritation. Called my doctor this time and they told me to buy Monistat 7 and try that to see if symptoms cleared up. After those 7 days, I still wasn't feeling better.
I thought finally, getting better. Well this morning I took my last Diflucan and am now seeing the yeast in my urine again, the burning is very mild, and I am seeing yeast around my clitoris again. I know I need to probably go back to the doctor but I am not sure what they do if Diflucan isn't really clearing it up. I have had a yeast infection before and it went away with a cream I never even had to see a doctor but this one is horrendous.

I had some pretty typical symptoms, went to the doc, who diagnosed by my description of symptoms. Did a urine test for STDs (chlamydia, gonnehrea) all negative. He prescribed Diflucan and gave me 2 pills. I took the first one and the symptoms got a lot better. Then (my thought is it wasn't fully healed) after sex it returned. So I took another Diflucan, everything seemed cool.
Then I got a really bad cold and was prescribed a Z pack. Surprise! Yeast was back.
Does anyone know if Diflucan can delay HIV antibody detection/production? My ELISA was negative at 100 days. Appreciate anyones knowledge.
