diflucan

Avatar f tn I had this burning sensation Sunday on my labias. Tuesday it hasn't gone away. Wednesday I put a monistat 1 capsule insert in with little to no relief. Thursday I make a trip to my doctor and she gives me a diflucan pill. It's now one day after taking the pill and I still have no relief.
12182312 tn?1427683956 I went to my doctor and she prescribed diflucan and also clomitozole?? (Sp)...I am so itchy and sore I want to cry. Should I try monistat 7. Or wait out the diflucan?. What works for you?
20797525 tn?1510602613 I have had candida for a little over a year now. It all started with strep throat that I required penicillin to combat. Penicillin helped but never fully eliminated the problem. I began to notice a lot of itching underneath my left arm. A few times I would put deodorant on and it would sting to high heaven. Then I noticed that classic yeast smell. I tried all types of treatments with no result, relief or answers.
Avatar f tn Last Thursday I started having burning/hot feeling coming from my vagina, no so much the inside but the labia minora, I was prescribed difulcan by my provider took it Monday and have felt some relief but not much, I also did the 1 day monistat treatment which helped a bit as well but I still continue to have a burning/warm/hot feeling in the same area. I dont have any itching/pain while urinating or any lesions/suspicious bumps and minimal discharge, I have checked multiple times trust me!
Avatar f tn They didnt want me to talk diflucan that early. I am the same way as u. Nothing works but diflucan for me. so i know how u feel.
Avatar f tn I tried 2 of 3 days of an otc yeast medicine and had my doctor call in 1 pill of diflucan all with no relief. I also recently washed all of my underwear in a hypoallergenic detergent and still nothing. Can someone point me in the direction of what it could be? I'm not sure I can wait til Monday to see a doctor!
674021 tn?1295489762 My son had to take the nystatin for like 10 days before we saw any relief. I also had to apply it to my nipples as well to make sure we weren't passing the infection back and forth. Thrush can be very difficult to treat...be consistent with the medication and if after a week + you still don't see any relief, they do make diflucan in an oral suspension that babies can take. Diflucan is a stronger yeast killer.
Avatar f tn I have a history of yeast infections, and one week ago, I started to have a thicker, white discharge with itching. I took a Diflucan on Thursday. This usually provides relief, however, it hasn't yet. I got a herpes blood test on Friday (only one month past exposure) and it was negative for both HSV I and II (IgG <0.90). I still am experiencing vaginal burning and discharge and noticed one small red tear near the vaginal entrance.
Avatar n tn My first outbreak (genital HSV-1) has lasted over 6 weeks also. I've been on Valtrex the entire time and have also tried Diflucan because the doctor thought that perhaps the symptoms were dragging on for so long due to a yeast infection. Two rounds of Diflucan provided no relief. I haven't experienced open sores; only clear bumps, a rash, cracks, swollen lymph nodes, itching and tenderness. I have also been tested for all other STDs and am negative for anything other than HSV-1.
Dog I am currently traveling for the next 6 weeks and would prefer to wait and see my doctor when I return home. In the meantime, for treatment and symptom relief what should I try? Should I buy over the counter anti fungal cream? If so which one? Are there other creams that can help relieve symptoms? I want to continue having protected sex during this period.
Avatar f tn I went to urgent care for treatment and was given diflucan and it didnt put a dent in it, so I went back. I was given more diflucan and it didnt do anything. I waited to see a gynocologist and had a pap smear and STD test, went back for an HPV screen. I was negative for it all and was given diflucan by her as well. I went back to her a second time and she gave me a cream for a yeast infection after admitting she didnt see signs for one and didnt know why I would be burning.
Avatar n tn I am unable to eat much fruit or vegetables with high sugar content. I am currently being treated with Diflucan and Cipro for an existing yeast problem. I am taking Diflucan for 30 days and Cipro for 10 days. This will give me some relief for about three or four months and then I will need to treat the problem again. Questions: Should I change the Diflucan/Cipro time schedule or try different drugs? Any other suggestion would be very much appreciated.
Avatar n tn I've taken 2 Diflucan tablets one one friday and one on Saturday. Monday i started bleeding my period is not due for another week.
Avatar f tn was found during my annual) and my dr (who is new and i do not normally see) prescribed me diflucan for 12 weeks, one pill, once a week. I have never heard of this or treated a yeast infection with diflucan like this before and am starting to think this doctor I saw was a quack/slave to drug company kind of doctor. Has anyone ever been prescribed diflucan this way?
Avatar n tn Hi! Usually when my patients give a similar description of symptoms, it turns out to be yeast, so Diflucan is a good medication to start with. If symptoms persist, I will often do a wet mount (look at the discharge under the microscope) a pH test (helps to distinguish yeast from bacterial infections (home tests can be purchased at your local drug store) and sometimes a culture. I would usually rule out gonorrhea and chlamydia just as a routine part of my protocol too.
Avatar f tn Took 150 mg of diflucan yesterday morning...still no relief...how long does it take to work?!?
Avatar m tn ve had chronic yeast infections (4-6 a year) for about 3 years now. 2 years ago my doctor prescribed Diflucan and it worked well for a while (cleared up the infection right away). About 8 months ago the Diflucan stopped being as effective, and I would have to take one 150mg pill then followed by another 150mg pill 3 days later. For the past 6 months I've had a yeast infection that has not really gone away. I have relief for a couple days to a week max and then the symptoms returned.
Avatar n tn I am 35weeks nd my vagina,s been itching a lot my doctor told me this might happen I shouldn't panic it's normal for others but I Cnt take it is thr any cream or something to use for the relief
Avatar f tn First it was a yeast infection the dictoar treated me with 2 rounds in diflucan. Before and after the treatment I used monistat. No relief. So I went to my gyno and she said the yeast was gone but I had BV. Sh gave my flafyl. Finished it but was still itching.she then prescribed me clindamycin vaginal cream.finished that and still no relief. I've tried everything. Probiotics, yougurt, changed toilet paper, only washed with mild soap, etc. I changed my whole routine.
Avatar f tn I went to my doctor to get some relief, she did a vaginal exam and was positive it was yeast, checked under her microscope to be sure and came back with 3 packages of Diflucan. Told me to take one every other day and if I wasn't feeling better by Monday to come back. Well the same night I took my 1st pill right away and it somewhat helped. I knew it would take time. The following day things were slowly worsening. The burning got more intense. I was peeing like every hour.
1142929 tn?1271622835 I had an allergic reaction and the doctor thought it was herpes. She gave me diflucan anyway just in case. A culture and blood test said negative for HSV1 and 2. The diflucan caused me to get a bacterial infection and then the medicine for that caused an actual yeast infection. Since then I have not felt normal. I only have relief when I have my period or for a few days when I have discharge. It's like an itchy, dry, swollen and warm feeling.
Avatar n tn Did a urine test for STDs (chlamydia, gonnehrea) all negative. He prescribed Diflucan and gave me 2 pills. I took the first one and the symptoms got a lot better. Then (my thought is it wasn't fully healed) after sex it returned. So I took another Diflucan, everything seemed cool. Then I got a really bad cold and was prescribed a Z pack. Surprise! Yeast was back. So I went to the doctor and this time they did a "wet mount" turns out I had BV and Yeast together.
