diflucan side effects infants

I'm 16 weeks and I'm suffering from a horrible yeast infection. I took 7 days of terazol and 3 days of monistat. Neither helped. Creams usually don't on me. Diflucan is the only thing that works but my dr. said he doesn't prescribe it during pregnancy. I'm so sick of it. I'm miserable. Has anyone ever taken diflucan when they were pregnant? What are the side effects to the baby?

C albicans can be resistant to drugs ending in azole. Diflucan is Fluconazole. They can give you Amphotericin B but it has bad side effects. I would the infectious doctor.

u can use it safely.no problem.there may be certain side effects like nausea n vomiting n taste perversions if u use this drug.it has no interaction with cephalexin.

m taking diflucan for valley fever as well as other meds to help with the side effects of the diflucan. Could any of these harm the health or number of sperm?

The symptoms subsided after weaning off of the Prozac but have returned with resuming the Zoloft.Mentally I feel much better. Today I increased my Zoloft from 12.5 mg to 25 mg. If these side effects continue are there other meds for anxiety that are not addictive and with fewer side effects. I spoke with my psychaitrist yesterday and he said to stop the Zolft and use the Xanax until my appointment next week. I have addictive behavior in my family.

HI...many get yeast infections from antibiotic treatments...u may want to ask ur dr about this possibility and get a med called DIFLUCAN to help rid u of the yeast....and if so u will want to get the DIFLUCAN every time u get an antibiotic rx.

Dear Caca325, I have never personally heard of Diflucan producing the side effect of making you feel more wet. The wetness that you are feeling is probably something called Cervical Mucous (CM). CM happens to many women all the time and increases or decreases during the month of their menstrual cycle. Some women do not have an abundant amount of CM.

However it is not advisable to use too much of steroid creams as it has plenty of side effects like skin atrophy, skin thinning, telangiectasia, steroid induced rosacea or redness. Use it only as per the prescription and have regular follow ups with your child’s doctor. Also the best treatment of eczema is use of moisturizers which should be applied in a thin layer on the eczematous patch.

I've taken 2 Diflucan tablets one one friday and one on Saturday. Monday i started bleeding my period is not due for another week.

I got it, I had no side effects of anything it was quick and painless aside from my arm being a bit tender. But I'd rather be safe than sorry.

I got mine because whopping cough is a high rate killer for infants because it swells airways and infants airways are so small already/: but it's all a personal decision!

And the huge amount of vit d3 ( 1000-3000 iu) it has poisinous that lead to negatively affects on the liver and kidney functions !!! I was planning to take 5000 iu of vit d3 per day .. However i prefer to lower the quantityper day ..

I see one of the side effects are lowed white blood cells and right now mine are 2.9. Idk why theyre so low. Prob the lyme..? I am not used to have a LOW white count..
