do all of these crappy (literally) side effects EVER fade??? ive only been on the combined treatment for a month now....it just seems to b getting worse...the vomitting, crapping, fatigue,body aches, head aches, raw throat and mouth....i just hate to ask my docs for all kinds of meds....just wondering if it gets better closer to the one year marker????

C albicans can be resistant to drugs ending in azole. Diflucan is Fluconazole. They can give you Amphotericin B but it has bad side effects. I would the infectious doctor.

My mother just had her 1st shot of Lucentis. She has a small leak. She is also on Glaucoma eye drops. She is experiencing extreme fatigue and she said her thoughts/memory seem fuzzy. How long do these side effects last? My mother is a small person who doesn't take any other medications except for the eyes. She works out everyday. She isn't up to that either. Does she have to get these every 4 weeks or can they space them out more or lesser dose?

I started noticeing side effects at about 8pm, and they continued till this morning. I experienced a low grade headache, aches in my upper legs and lower back, some difficulty sleeping, and an awkward kind of dizziness (which I notice now seems to immediately follow my Riba dose). I am in week 4 of the Olysio/Sovaldi combo therapy and am disappointed at the side effects I'm experiencing. I used both, and found that side effects are similar; tiredness, weight gain, and a slow pulse. Side effects are more pronounced as the dosage is increased. I had dosages from 25mg to 200mg. daily. Other reported effects are loss of libido, tightness in the chest, itching, irregular breathing, and irregular heartbeat. I had no side effects at all and was able to continue my XC skiing and cycling as normal. Some do have side effects like fatigue, headache and anemia but I have not heard about anything very severe with this treatment.

I just had a thought this evening that most of the problems I have had have occured after taking Flagyl (Metronidazole). I am showing symptoms that are confusing my Drs and have been for about 4 years. When I look back on when I began feeling poorly it seemed to happen after taking Flagyl. s office and asked about these symptoms, the nurse stated the doctor said these were not normal side effects. How do I get my Oncologist to see that I am having these problems and to treat them?

She is quite nervous about the side effects. We dont really know what to expect as I have heard different things from different doctors and nurses. Most of my side effects are gone, but I still have a few. I feel great,even with the few side effects I have left. What I noticed was they lessened in intensity as the days went by. Then at some point I would realize a certain side effect was gone. Then another and another. They just keep disappearing, but not all at once, and it is gradual. At least that is what I found. I also found that it is a little uneven, just like they are while on treatment.
