Common Questions and Answers about Diflucan ointment

diflucan

Avatar f tn Definitely go to your GYN you may need some diflucan which is a strong pill that cures severe yeast infections. They more than likely will do a swab or take a blood sample to be thorough but the diflucan can still be given until they get your results back.
Avatar n tn Then apply the antifungal ointment (generic- WalMart). The organics in the ointment neutralize the acid in the vinegar. But the vinegar has killed most of the fungi. The cream prevents the rest from reproducing. Most itching has stopped. Still need to go in and lecture the PAs on creating these resistant fungi strains by underdosing (I think.
Avatar n tn t be cured until you take the antibiotics for streptococcus then take the ointment ointment for balanitis
Avatar f tn Hi! Yes, yeast can and does cause a rash and itching/burning sensation. Typically the areas affected are the groin area and under the breasts. Sometimes under the belly if there is a bit of extra "fluff". Nystatin powder of Tegretol shampoo can work very well in these areas. Diflucan is a great drug for treating yeast that's "everywhere". Colonoscopy won't cause yeast or GI problems, but is often done because of pre-existing GI problems. Hope this helps!
Avatar n tn I've taken 2 Diflucan tablets one one friday and one on Saturday. Monday i started bleeding my period is not due for another week.
Avatar f tn They will give antifungals for the infection but ask your dox what to use for the burning and itching. Generally monistat or something like it works well for that.
Avatar m tn Perfect. Everyone is different, but diflucan is the only thing that works on yeast infections for me. I hope you get relief soon.
Avatar f tn My fiance and I had sex that night then the next day the sore was worse and then I developed a couple more sore places there on the inner side of my vagina lip. I have been treating it with a triple antibiotic ointment called Bacitracin, it's suppose to be better than Neosporin. They sores seemed to be getting a little better after a couple days of treating them with this ointment. Then my fiance and I had sex again 3 nights ago and now the sores are worse again.
Avatar n tn Minocycline, Metrogel, Prosacea, Eurax, Loprox, Tea Tree Ointment, Econazole, Clotrimazole, Ketoconazole 1%, Selsun Blue, Lotrimin Ultra, Finacea, oral Diflucan, an assortment of vitamins and supplements, natural and alternative medicine. I have this theory that my body is attacking my chin area's skin cells, therefore breaking down my skin barrier or turning cell turnover too rapidly, which may make the cells clump up in my pores. How do I get to the gist of it and stop it?
Avatar n tn I have also had some difficulty urinating and my urine burns. I have tried a number of topicals on it, including for a while, triple antibiotic ointment, I later switched to cortisone, which burned worse and then lotrimin. I went to a urologist last week, he says he sees nothing. I can definitely see the red patch. He says, it might be something, but whatever it is, it isn't serious. He suggested I try some monistat, but that just made it burn and after two days, I stopped.
Avatar m tn We found using the same OTC ointment that women use, for yeast infection, worked great. The few times it got really bad I took Diflucan (prescription). Like most meds, like this, it gets into your system and is secreted out through soft membrane like the lining of your organs and urinary tract (and broken or irritated skin like affected foreskin).
Avatar f tn Problem is i started getting patches of raised bumps , like pimples and they itch , never had this before now .. I read you should not use zovirax ointment on the inside vaginal are , what do I do , My Doctor evidently does not give directions well or is this not the case, iam scared been withmy husband 16yrs and never had any problems and all of a sudden I have raised bumps all over ... Avatar f tn He came home with OptiVet drops, antibiotic eye ointment, atropine ophthalmic ointment, and Rimadyl. He has not had the atropine ointment in about 48 hours and his pupil is still very dilated. Is this normal?
Avatar m tn I went back to the same urologist and he prescribed mupirocin ointment for a week, no improvement. I went back to my original doctor who said it may be fungal and so told me to try lotrimin or monestat. I tried both with no improvement, then I was given 2 doses of diflucan which also did not help at all. I went and saw a dermatologist who told me it may be psoriasis and to try hydrocortisone ointment which has not helped either.
Avatar n tn My dermatologist prescribed Diflucan, to be taken once a week for 3 weeks. I am hesitant to take it but I am scared of dealing with the reoccurance of the ringworm. I am worried the medication I took may have caused damage to my heart and or liver. Should I be worried about heart failure? If they are damaged, will they heal themselves (recover). What should I do? I have scheduled an appointment with a new doctor, but the appointment is not until the 22nd.
Avatar f tn On Wednesday I went to the gyno with what I thought was a yeast infection. I was having extremely painful itching and burning to the point where I would avoid using the bathroom. She did a pap smear and several cultures, and told me I had a few " lesions " which she thinks are herpes sores. She couldn't tell for sure without blood tests but said she was about 70% sure it was herpes because of the "classic symptoms". I was pretty upset, naturally.
Avatar m tn I went to my doctor, who swabbed, and gave me a prescription for Diflucan (2 doses). The next day I received an email stated that the swab tested negative for yeast and fungus, but the doctor explained that my clinical presentation was so "classic" that he believed my symptoms would still go away with the Diflucan treatment.
Avatar n tn I scrubbed them thinking it may be dirt (gross I know), but they were still there. I had taken Diflucan for a week for a possible yeast infection in my mammary glands due to pain while breastfeeding, but it turns out that breastfeeding just hurts. I haven't noticed any improvement, but today my neck has started to itch a bit. Any ideas?
Avatar f tn Hm, your doctor's choice was strange for a yeast infection. Just being honest with that. Yeast infections are common when you take antibiotics because the antibiotic kills off all bacteria, good and bad. And women then get a shift in their vaginal PH and yeast starts to grow and grow. And we all know yeast infections can be super SUPER annoying! As if the UTI wasn't bad enough, right?
Avatar m tn Hi, I am suffering from same problem, but I found a temp cure, by applying a ointment by the name of propysalic as the name suggest its a Salicylic acid based ointment, works well as a cure.. Points to keep in mind, apply every 3rd day. Keep the area clean.
Avatar m tn She needs to clear this up. If topical treatments do not work, she can take oral Diflucan. Whether topical or oral, she needs to complete the treatment. Often this problem starts because a woman is put on an antibiotic and it messes up the balance of her flora. Having sex while the balance is out of whack is quite uncomfortable, so let her get rid of this. She can take an oral supplement like AzoYeast if she finds she can't keep in balance.
Avatar n tn I took the Diflucan. Day 5 i got my period. What do i do now?? And can i re-fill my Diflucan to take when i am thru with the antibiotic?? And really no tampons?? at all??
Avatar f tn I have a sore on my tongue that's been there awhile. The ear nose & throat doctor said it is irritation & hard to heal. I'm taking Lysine tablets 500 mg 3xs daily. Just started .I have seen L-Lysine ointment by basic organics. People use it for core sores & ulcers on the inside of lip. Would it be safe to dab a small amount on my tongue to help battle this condition faster. It is painful & very frustrating.
Avatar f tn My dog has weepy eyes again & we have a tube of otocomb*otic ointment that I'm pretty sure we used last time. Does that sound right? I want to make sure they it'd the right tube.
