I have had intense vaginal itching for a couple of weeks now. I went to my gyno and she said I definitely had a yeast infection and gave me 2 Diflucan. I've taken both, and I STILL have this intense itch. It doesn't last all day, but comes in bouts and it's driving me crazy! There's no odor, and I'm guessing some slight discharge, but I'm not understanding why the Diflucan wouldn't help.
I started having vaginal itching around my vulva, in between my labia and around my anus for about 5 days now. There is nothing visible and there is no change in odor. I tried 2 of 3 days of an otc yeast medicine and had my doctor call in 1 pill of diflucan all with no relief. I also recently washed all of my underwear in a hypoallergenic detergent and still nothing. Can someone point me in the direction of what it could be? I'm not sure I can wait til Monday to see a doctor!
m currently treating a vaginal yeast infection and was wondering what your experiences were with Diflucan? How long does a typical yeast infection last? The itching and burning have subsided, and I took my first diflucan pill Sunday (doc gave me 4). I'm also using Vagisil for itching and irritated skin! Thanks!
About two and a half weeks ago. I was itching during my follow up appointment and that's when they gave me the diflucan. They claimed the trich was gone, but I'm still slightly itching after these medications. I'm figuring its because they said it was bad, and that's why I still have the problem.
Ok. This is my third post about this. For over a month, I've had intense vaginal itching, so much to the point of chafing. I went to the doc, and she said I had a bacterial infection, and gave me antibiotics. Mind you, I AM on birth control, and had been previously taking antibiotics for an ear infection. So, I was thinking I had the YI from the antibiotics. But, the bacterial infection, I had a LOT of discharge and there was an odor.
I had unprotected oral, vaginal, and anal sex. We had discussed previous partners and had both stated we were std free. (People lie, I know) 3 days later I developed severe itching and burning. I had clumpy white cottage cheese like discharge that actually turned pink since I had some light bleeding. I also had the same thing in my rectum but had also developed a nasty hemorrhoid from the anal. I felt like it was a usual yeast infection and bought a 3 day kit at the store.

The lab results confirmed I have a UTI and didn't find anything with the vaginal swab. I'm confused because I thought UTIs didn't cause itching. about right after that i was dx w vaginal candida yeast infection (rarely itching/burning, mainly just the discharge)-my dr treated me with diflucan. it never went away. since then i have been to my gyno who cultured my yeast infection and said best medication for it was diflucan, so he also prescribed me to diflucan for 7 days-never went away. then he again prescribed me diflucan 150 once for 3 weeks. never went away!!!
This is the last night of the 3 day treatment kit. I have applied the cream and I'm still experiencing quite a bit of pain from the itching and burning. I can't sleep. Is there anything I can take to help with the pain? I'm afraid ill have to call out of work to get to a doctor, this is unbearable. Please help!
About a week ago I started having this awful itching in my genital area. At first I thought it was a yeast infection but I have had yeast infections before and they never itched this bad. About 4 months ago I was diagnosed with a yeast infection, followed by a diagnosis of Herpes I. After several treatments of Diflucan and Nitrix cream the discharge stopped but I still have pinching and itching externally on the labial area and the rectal area. There is no visible rash, just this relentless pinching and itching. My OB gave me a pap and said she screened for all the high risk HPVs. Could she still be missing something?
Okay, I have history of getting yeast infections and UTI's and recently its been an on going battle. I've been very itchy and I called my gyn and told him and he gave me Diflucan to clear up a yeast infection and something to insert to cure a bacterial infection. This helped for 3 days and now the itching is back. There is no discharge or smell and no cottage cheese looking stuff either. It is red and I have been using gynecort (itch cream) to stop the itching. What should I do?
It started with me noticing a slight itching and little white bumps. These bumps went away within a day and were completely painless. However, the itching remained (I was on my period so I couldn't tell if there was discharge). I used anti-yeast infection cream on the skin as i thought it might be thrush related. The doctor said it doesn't look like classical herpes but there was no yest present internally either. Today, now that my period is over, I noticed a clumpy discharge.

It eased the symptoms, but became worse after completing the medicine. So I went back to the GYN and she prescribed diflucan again. I have been back to the doctor several times for the same symptoms so my doctor prescribed Boris Acid 14 days. This really helped the symptoms but once I stopped the medicine my symptoms came back.

I have a yeast infection (though it is hardly bothersome at all.. was found during my annual) and my dr (who is new and i do not normally see) prescribed me diflucan for 12 weeks, one pill, once a week. I have never heard of this or treated a yeast infection with diflucan like this before and am starting to think this doctor I saw was a quack/slave to drug company kind of doctor. Has anyone ever been prescribed diflucan this way?

Hello, I developed some red bumps on my labia last week on both sides with itching . I took antibiotics the week before for Christmas for a sinus infection and had to take diflucan because I thought I was developing a yeast infection on the antibiotics. I started feeling better and then last week I started itching agajn and noticed red bumps appearing on my Labia and they started to become a little tender. I did two more rounds of diflucan this past week.

I haven't had a to since I was 12 so I'm pretty sure this is a to but I bought the mobistar 3 and I'm on my third day and I'm still itching so bad I want to take a back scratcher to my lady parts bad lol is it normal to still have symptoms after three day of a three day treatment
Starting 8 months ago I was first diagnosed with a yeast infection but then I started itching again so went back and got more diflucan. But then the diflucan was not helping the itch and burn still so went back and got told I had a bacterial infection took medicine for that but still felt the itch and burn after that... I am still suffering as the doctors cannot diagnose me or help me. Steroid cream just masks the discomfort. It burns, itches, sometimes stings..
hi, i'm 25 year old and married 4months ago. since 3days i have itching sensation around vigina and pure white type is releasing through out the day. please suggest me for reducing this itching and white outcome.
